Convent of Blasphemy

Always open for new characters!

Welcome to the Holy Convent of Saint Ziv! Widely known as an idyllic sanctuary for troubled souls in need of guidance, the convent has stood the test of time for over two centuries and servevs as a place of healing, of peace and of education in the ways of The Light.

Under the benevolent guidance of King Anwar, fifth of his name, who rules over this realm of Kirania by the grace of The Light, the convent has remained as it ever was -- a remote place undisturbed by the passage of time. A five days' journey from the capital, it is surrounded by lucious woods and nestles into a mountain range that separates Kirania from its neighboring country of Ner.  Prospective pilgrims and visitors reach it by journeying from the main road through the woods and may rest at the small village of Briar Glen until they are granted admittance.

As a convent, the Light's followers at Saint Ziv's consist primarily of nuns - however, due to its extensive library and fertile gardens it also hosts a number of male clerics, which reside in their own guests' quarters. Here, the Light is strong.

The Premise
Of course, where there's light …

The Darkness has many mortal agents. Cultists, witches, even demons born from its unholy depths. In a country ruled by the Light, they are forced to hide. And where best to do that … ? Right within their ranks, of course!

Thus, the true nature of Saint Ziv's -- the Convent of Darkness! Hidden beneath the veil of a holy place of worship and sanctuary is a den of evil and sin -- corrupted nuns, sinister demons and more! And that's you! Yes, you, you sexy person of great tastes! You'll bring the pure, the good and the confused right into your fold, disabusing them of their faithful notions! Seducing them to join your in your corruption! Unless you are a guest, of course, ready to receive this very treatment -- we won't judge! In fact, we'll welcome you with open arms and -- other things. Sinful ones.

The Setting
The peaceful medieval nation of Kirania is ruled by its benevolent king, Anwar V. It is surrounded by countries that are allied through a united lineage, making any border conflict brief affairs - it's more likely for clashes to occur at court and for any troublemakers to be taken care of well before they can cause any upheavals - by shame and exile, by poison or blade.

The dominant religion in the country and much of the world is the Church of the Holy Light, which has acted as a beacon of righteousness to humanity for over a thousand years. The church as an institution carries as much as if not more influence than royals and even the most powerful of nobility cannot survive for long without their approval.

The church maintains a luxurious cathedral in the Kiranian capital, Kiranis, which is under the control of Cardinal Fronsac; as the spiritual leader of the country, he is a very powerful figure, and often provides counsel to the king. While it contains many benevolent figures who firmly believe in the churches' benevolence and teachings, within the grand institution, all too many are instead filled with greed and hunger for power, especially at its center of power. To be called to the capital is to enter a viper's nest for many of the devout who shun earthly riches.

The Light

The Light is a force of purity and opposes the Darkness. All living things are both drawn to it and repelled by it, for it rejects that which is not pure - those who live a life free of sin, it is said, will be embraced by The Light at the end and all that remained unclean will be washed away.

Contrary to popular teachings, the Light is an elemental force rather than a force of good. Many of its characteristics lead to such a conclusion -- the most holy are said to be able to cleanse wounds, purify poison, ward off evil spirits and many more things, but only dilluted through such agents does its brightness hold warmth.

The Forces of Darkness

Those who turn from the Light and worship the darkness are many -- for just as the light is part of any living being, so is the darkness. Humanity was born from their union and can never wholly belong to one or the other without relinquishing their mortality.

The Darkness is of sin, of evil, as far as the Church of the Holy Light is concerned and has been driven into hiding after many years of open and secret conflict.

The Darkness is certainly evil in many of its guises, but ultimately it's as much an elemental force as the Light and very much maligned, both by its enemies and its greatest servants -- they are two opposing forces and those who call on one grow closer to it. The light burns away and purifies, the dark tarnishes and taints, but ultimately both are corruptions.

The dark is desire, indulgence, envy and greed -- but it is also the one true friend who will always accept and embrace you in your wretchedness, when all else has abandoned you. Where the light is harsh and unmoving, the darkness can be a balm. It is malleable -- called upon far more easily than the Light and in many ways, from simple force of emotion, to magic ritual, to pacts with its children, the demons.

Demons are indeed quite literally the children of Darkness. The oldest, most pure were born from it -- spontaneously coming into existence in response to surges of power and emotion. Most demons who have survived to this age, however, are former humans - those who surrendered to the Darkness' embrace with their whole being and were reborn.

The Holy Convent of Saint Ziv

The Holy Convent of Saint Ziv is that only in name. Beneath its holy veneer, corruption ripens. Fifty years ago a they accepted a travelling nun as one of their own -- and one by one they fell, enchanted, seduced, corrupted and forced into depravity. The Darkness was on the cusp of dying out, its most powerful agents destroyed, and its follower realized that they would need sanctuaries of their own, secret places in which to congregate, to breed, to seduce the weak, the unwary and the needful and paint them in unholy darkness.

Since then, the call has been answered by many seeking safety from the hunters of the church, increasing the population  -- cultists, witches and warlocks, demons and halfbreeds, even those branded outcasts and deviants by the church. And of course those converted to their ways who elected to stay.

During the day, most of the residents pretend to be faithful followers of the Light so as not to attract undue attention and keep the villagers from realizing their true nature. Some tend the gravevines, others work in the library or tend to guests and injured charges. Those who cannot or will not hide their true nature keep to the hidden places beneath the convent, dwelling in the deep caves and tunnels that were carved into the mountain.

A formal hierarchy exists during the day -- one mortal is chosen to act as head nun. She must be baptized in darkness without wielding its power, so that she may fool the hounds of the church, and commands the others during the day. At night, however, she is charged to submit to any who demand it. Some have wielded great influence in that position, others were mere figureheads and playthings.

At night, things grow more complicated. Personal power and seniority are very relevant when it comes to who takes priority when making a claim for unsuspecting travellers -- but structures also exist within the various sub-groups. The cultists who venerate the darkness itself tend to select a leader of their own, magic users form smaller like-minded groups who support each other and so on.

Over time, the following rules have been firmly established:

I) The Convent must not be exposed.
Only at night, when the entrance is safely locked and none may enter or leave, is it safe to indulge freely. Visitors deemed too dangerous to meddle with (whether because of their pure faith, prominence or importance ) by the head nun are quartered in special rooms that must be left alone.)

II) Any unsanctioned violence is to be punished.
The only way to settle conflict is by ritual. This may, however, be a ritual of combat if the challenged agrees.

III) Indulge. Follow your urges.

Style of RP, Kinks and Limits

This game promotes social RP and intrigue between characters. Friendships, rivalries and, for residents, even outright enmity is encouraged - just be sure remember the rules, or the rest of the convent will come down on your character! The GM will be setting up a plot as time goes by, but the game is intended to be fairly smut heavy and feature sinful, evil characters seducing others to their side -- mostly by sexual means.

The game will be placed in the Extreme Exotics board. Corruption, demons, futa, religious blasphemy and evil ritual, dark magic, bdsm, hypnosis and mind control and many other things are all on the table.

As with any game featuring such topics, that means OOC communication, consent and awareness of player limits is all the more important! Everyone needs to be clearly aware of the other players' wants and limits, so in addition to an OOC we have a Discord server (Invitation Link: https://discord.gg/abWnsJ8 ) Posts will also include a header which, in addition to a character picture and mini profile, will feature a short list of hard limits and interests/requests.

Freedom in and expression through sin vs. religious repression is another theme - not all characters on the side of evil need to be malicious. The Church of Light is very much a 'only when married and to procreate' type of deal with no room for non-traditional preferences or gender roles. This, of course, means that the Corrupted need not adhere to this at all! Pleasure and indulgence is what matters and dark magics can do wonders for someone who feels they were born in the wrong body.

So for corrupted characters (or those who become corrupted, changing as they are) pretty much anything is possible as long as it is of reasonable scope. Magic to grow a penis or a former male being turned into a succubus are all within the scope of things!

So how does this work?

Convent characters can come in many varieties. Sinful humans and corrupted humans who indulge when the sun goes down, demons and demonspawn who hide their true nature, mortal practicioners of dark magics or cultists/clerics preaching of the Darkness itself or whatever sinister gods they believe in. They can interact, plot, seduce, romance, even scheme against each other in bids for influence and power -- and, of course, corrupt visitors and new recruits.

Visitor characters are by and large humans. (If a strong desire for non-human fantasy races exists, we can open up discussion for their inclusion, but humanity remains the dominant lifeform on the continent). Travellers seeking sanctuary, the desperate and poor seeking relief, food or alms. The conflicted seeking confession. A perverted priest in the know coming by in hopes of extorting some favors -- and possibly getting exactly or more than they bargained for! Even an already corrupted character, pretending to be chaste in some sort of power play to take control of the convent. Anything, really.

To start with, we need a player characters on each end. We will allow multiple characters as soon as the first are properly established, but in order to retain a good ratio for convent to visitor character, we'll limit convent characters to one per player. Visitor  characters who 'graduate' to joining the convent will not count for that limit.

System? Posting Frequency? Posting style? Co-GMs? Other things?

The 'system' for this game is … consent-based freeform! No reason to bog things down with statistics. If participants can't agree on a resolution or conflict arbitration is needed, we'll come up something simple to handle it.

One post a week from each player as a minimum is our goal. Since the game won't go round by round and will contain more than one scene at a time, more is always welcome! Just don't skip any participants unless they give the go-ahead to.

Posts should contain a good amount of detail for others to reply to. I don't want to put a specific word count, so at least three good paragraphs should serve as a minimum. It's no big deal if the occasional post dibs below that, but one-liners are a big no-no.

So, at the end, thank you for reading this and, hopefully, your interest! Let me know right here in this thread if you have any feedback, ideas, or confessions of adoration! If anyone is interested in serving as a Co-GM to this project, please also let me know.

Name:Alestor (Alisa) Keter
Type: Visitor
Concept: Injured Inquisitors Aide
Titles: Esquire, (Father is a Marquess & Inquisitor in charge of protecting his lands)
Gender: Futa (Claims Male in public)
Orientation: Favor towards females/Futa, curious towards males.
Age: 20
Eye Color: Hazel
Hair Color: Platinum White

Appearance
Sleek and strong, Alisa shows the work of a squire in their build, though a strong almost girlish look curls their face. In public they tend to wear heavy or baggy clothing to hide the curves of their body, taking to acting as male at their fathers behest. Attention snagged easily by the sheer white color of their hair, and not to mention the almost golden color of their eyes.

Background
The only child of one of the lands Inquisitors, Alisa lives a life of difficulty. Her father knows fully well the issues of her body, but His pride and desire for an heir to his holdings keep him from accepting her true gender. As such Alestor (as she is known as in public) has lived and trained as a Squire in her father's service in Knighthood and the Inquisition at the Churches behest.

Alisa has spent her entire life being scrutinized by her father due to the oddity of her birth, though the exact cause is unknown it is suspected to be a side effect of a curse that killed her mother during childbirth. Unknown to her Father, her mother was an Infernalist and had plans for their child and had used incantations, herbs, and rituals while still in the womb to shape and reform her body.

She currently finds herself at the Convent while recovering from a bad wound obtained while fighting in one of her father's Purges, a moment of hesitation left her open to an attack, a deep wound to the thigh and the blade covered in some alchemical concoction sent them quickly into a deep coma for a time. Filled with fear and dread, Alisa's father sent her to the Convent of Saint Ziv, which one of her mother's old friends attends. She had been tending to the Lady during her pregnancy and knew of the odd condition she had been born with and was sworn to secrecy on it. She was all too happy to help, especially given she was the one who taught Alisa's mother her forbidden rituals...

Personality
In public, Alestor is brash and showy, confident and cocky, much like many squires and knights. Though away from prying eyes Alisa tends to be more quiet and contemplative, enjoying more feminine forms of relaxation. An avid reader, musician, and minor historian she find herself torn between the two personalities she has fostered, finding that aspects slip between them unintentionally. Currently, she is finding trouble with her father's Absolutist views on heresy and those that follow it...

Abilities
Well trained in the art of combat, Alisa is quite confident with most knightly arms, and surprisingly strong for how lithe she is, easily able to overpower people close to twice her size when in a pinch. That said she tend to prefer dabbling in musical arts, her favorite instrument being the Nyckleharpa, a strange instrument collected during while traveling with her father. She is also able to speak and read several languages, and fairly knowledgeable on literature.

Desires and Dislikes
Alisa wishes to find some balance in who she is, the confusion between what her father wants and her own odd growing feelings causing a great deal of conflict. She hopes to learn more during her time at the Convent researching the history of the Light and the Dark. She has developed a dislike of the Nobility and Aristocracy that tends to look down upon the people they govern, the casual disregard, in her experience, being part of what pushes the "lower born" towards the worship of fell idols.

Ons and Offs
Pretty open to most anything, special like here towards Dub-con, use of drugs, hypnosis, taking advantage of fever fugue, and/or good seduction to take advantage of Alisa. Moral corruption, seduction, some transformation, or so forth are all looked forward to as well! Off wise, Flat out rape is only real hard one. Overly gross stuff like extreme over the top gore, vomit, or the like as well, otherwise willing to discuss and work things out!

Writing Sample
Alisa groaned, deep in a tumultuous sleep, body slick with fever sweat under the sheets of her bed. Mind lost in memories, dreams of that last battle haunting her, the clang and clash of weapons on armor and shield making her flinch as she slept. Two men dead at her feet, the lense of fever twisting the memory so they had been more misshapen then they actually had been, clubbed arms and legs, bulging eyes, and hunched backs made them barely resemble human.

Breath heaving she panted, shield braced to protect from any new threat as the melee waged around them, her Father stood on the Dais, holy warhammer swinging in heavy crushing blows in an attempt to batter the cults high priestess to death, but her supple body just barely weaving between the blows, the smooth curve of her back sweeping down to the round plump backside, the heavy swell of her brea-

A shriek shook them back to the moment, a girl, only a bit younger then they were lunged forward with a long black dagger in hand, if not for the scream she could have driven it straight into her back! Alisa spun trying to bring their shield to bear, but the ground was so smooth, and slick with blood, and hesitation. She knew the girl, flirted with her in the village, spoken with her at length, and one night she had taken Alisa to the barn where she bent over for her and...

The dagger's blade screeched off the shield following the curve even as the girl threw herself on the blade of Alisa's sword, the sharp length of steel erupting out her back as she tackled Alisa down and plunged her own dagger blade into a gap in her armor, twisting the blade in deep.

Hot agony lancing through their body, but an undercurrent followed after, a sweet numb. almost seductively cool feeling took the edge from the pain even as the blade twisted in their thigh. The girl thrashed against them, both bodies twisting and writhing in an odd mimicry of some nights back, a new fire starting to light in Alisa a-

...

Wakefulness came slowly, the bodies protests of healing limbs thrashing and writhing about, the dull, groggy, empty-headed feeling the medication the apothecary still holding tight. But even worse, an uncomfortable stiffness and slick feeling that was unrelated to their wound was there as well... A soft groan as they straightened out and looked under the sheets. At least they wouldn't need to clean them before anybody saw this time...

Name: Kipp
Type: Visitor
Concept: Innocent young man, seeking employment
Titles: None
Gender: Male
Orientation: Kipp is currently heterosexual, though that may change, especially if his gender does.
Age: 18
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Brown

Appearance
While still possessing a sleekness of youth, Kipp's loose clothing belie a strength gained from years of physical labour.

Background
Kipp never knew his parents. As far as he remembers, he's lived with alone with his grandmother. They were far from rich and, even when young, Kipp has had to work to help support both of them, going to other families and other places and doing whatever it was that needed doing, mainly simple physical labour of various sorts. A few years ago, though, his grandmother took severely ill. Kipp worked even harder to try to support her, but there was nothing that could be done. Before she died, however, she told Kipp to go to a convent she knew of. There was always work to be done at a convent for a meal, she said. And if not, they would surely direct him to somewhere suitable. Once his grandmother was gone, there was nothing holding Kipp any longer, so he left for the convent, taking his few effect with him.

Personality
Kipp is uncomplicated. He is used mostly to simple physical labour and is not used to deciding what needs to be done, but he will follow instructions work steadily and diligently at a task until it is complete. He doesn't lack intelligence, but is uneducated and has had little need to think deeply about anything so far.

Abilities
Since he was young, Kipp as had a hand in most types of physical and menial labour that can be found around a village, so he can do almost any simple task and can even manage more skilled labour, given proper instruction.

Desires and Dislikes
Kipp is simply looking for a place which will give him a warm bed and a meal in exchange for simple work. He generally dislikes people who pity him too much and especially the rich or nobles who look down on him. He prefers those who treat him fairly and understand that his work, though simple, still has value.

Ons and Offs
Biggest ons are corruption and transformation, especially if they are gradual. I would love for Kipp to eventually end up a woman, futa, demon or some combination, with the eventual goal of turning him fully to the resident side. Changing his morals and attitudes are also great, as long as it doesn't go as far as personality death.
Biggest offs are watersports, scat and death and non-consensual sex.

Name: Micaiah “Mica” Nurul
Type: Resident
Concept: Succubi/Incubi
Titles: Legion
Gender: “What do You desire?”
Age: We were born from desire, does it matter?
Eye Color: Brown/Gold/Black Changes with their mood.
Hair Color: Blonde

Appearance They stand at about average height, though at times they seem to be so much taller with how they carry themselves through the halls. Mica is of demonic origin so their sex is unknown, but not uncommon for them to appear either at the will of their Victim.

Background Not much is known about the origins of Mica, if they were created, or born, but one thing can be certain, they are a true Incubus. An offspring of Lilith the original. They enjoy the human guise, thinking humans are delicious creatures, with no end to the depravity they can dream up. Mica has done much in their time on the earth, whispering to kings while in their beds, having the kings give up lands, money and everything for another taste of the kiss.

Coming to Kirania was a bit of a challenge for Mica really. The devote were strong in their beliefs, unwilling to take the chance, but little by little they were able to gain a small foothold in the lands. The church of Saint Ziv though, it still brings a small to their face, the most devote, the priests in saying they were the voice of god. Yet, that darkness was within them. Ripe for the picking.

Posing as a nun was easy enough, with their easy knowledge, they grew slowly in power allowing a bit more freedom to roam the halls, to disappear if it so pleased Mica. They’ve created such a delightful little home here, and that’s not going to change at any point in time.

Personality

  • Arrogant
  • Witty
  • Passionate (Can be Aggressive in such)
  • Charismatic
  • Jealous
  • Manipulative

Abilities

Being a demon has it’s quirks, mostly in the ability to manipulate the people around them. Able to sense their deepest desires, assuming the role that might draw them into their web. Being able to float between the roles of gender as easily as breathing. Some control over the shadows: Cloaking (Hiding their presence), and teleporting a short distance (Ex: next room over). .

Desires and Dislikes

“Oh our darling bird. Tell me you darkest dreams, your deepest desires, and we shall bring them to life.”

Ons and Offs
Ons: Numerous
Offs: Golden Showers, Cleveland Steamrollers (Do I need to bring up more, if it goes in the toilet it stays there). Maiming.

Writing Sample

They were desire, lust, carnal desires brought to life with the first breath of man. So many delicious delights could be formed in the mind of man, so many desires for flesh, the taste, fhe feel, the conquering of their bodies to where they were handing over their souls for another taste, another sip from the cup of desire.

A shuddering breath was taken in by the figure as their eyes shifted towards their newest victim. Such dark delights this one hand, it would be fun, for a moment to simply sake that growing need to feed Mica’s own hunger. That raspberry colored muscle slipped out to smooth over pale lips before a smooth step moved them closer to the mortal, a hand lifting upwards to trail thin fingers lightly down the curve of the cheek of the nun..

“Such sights we will show you. The heights of desires we’ll take you.” Spoken softly, the voice elemental, a rumble of thunder, the soft babble of a brook all within that one voice as they leaned closer to purr into her ear. “You just have to give voice to your desires, tell me your darkest secrets, pet.”

VonDoom

To expand on the day leader -- this is the character who holds the position of head nun during the day. It's an important role described in the fourth paragraph under 'The Holy Convent of Saint Ziv'. Basically the character acts as the official leader during the day in order to better keep up the pretense, since a real convent has to have a head nun overseeing everything.  Traditionally, this should be a character without any dark powers or magic so as to avoid setting off any alarm bells with visitors who are potentially dangerous and who know how to look for such things.

To make things 'fair', since this places a mortal above all manner of powerful demons, witches and whatnot, they are traditionally charged to submit to anyone who asks during the night.

Some of these day leaders would have been able to assert themselves and wield a lot of influence to the point that simply none ever actually asked them to submit -- since it's only been fifty years since the corruption, I'd say more than one person doing so in the past is probably a bit much, though a player who is able to do so is more than welcome to!

I may turn this former day leader I just mentioned into one of the NPCs  - someone who 'graduated' from head nun and went demon afterwards. That would leave her with some seniority and influence, but no more so than any other more established demon, darkness cleric or magic-user.

… actually, since I received a request to turn the image used in the Forces of Darkness section into a character, I might use that one. Four arm multitasking could get confusing -- good thing I'll just need to write it.

TheLaughingOne: Once you've cleared up the phrasing in their background, your character should be good to go!

c0i9z: Congratulations, Kipp is approved!

Cryptic:  The character looks great! I'd just like a bit of additional information on their background, which currently seems more like an extended personality entry.

Please could confirm whether they are indeed one of the 'came spontaneously into existence' demons (as I'm assuming from the mention of a 'demonic origin' in their appearance). What they did with their time in the world before the convent was established? How did they come to be there and what, if any, role do they fill during the day? It's sufficient for all this to be addressed briefly and without any great detail, but it should still be established.

Also, I'd like a clarification on Mica's abilities -- their control over darkness, specifically. Is what you describe some form of teleportation through shadows? Camouflage?

A place of marriage between two souls desperate to feel something beyond the cruel tedium of real life. No worries! Futa is short for Futanari, which is generally a female with both male and female genitalia, sometimes has balls, sometimes not. Usually tends to be more female with addition than vice versa.

You don't have to be into futa -- the game is consent based and you can opt out of things you don't like. IC actions still have consequences, so you may want to not wander into a big futa orgy, but that's more OOC consideration than anything else.

The game does features futa and fxf relationships fairly prominently, so you may have a limited selection of partners for the erotic aspect of the game. We're hoping that just about every angle gets covered, though, and I'll introduce a number of NPCs into the game to help with that.

Thank you for your character submission, Chanterelle! Emrafah looks fine, there are just two points I'd like to go over.

1) This is just an idea I had reading over her, so if this isn't something you'd like to examine more closely, that's perfectly fine as well, but I personally am always in favor of more nuance and potential for drama and conflict.

Human character names (a few more concept proposal than the ones we have finalized here have been posted to the interest check thread) have mostly been based on Western European conventions so far. While the game wasn't really intended to have much of focus on different ethnicities, would you be interested in making her parents immigrants from another kingdom? This could in part be the reason why  none of her neighbors decided to help out or tried to take charge of her farmland through marriage proposals and have furthered her isolation.

2) I don't see any problems with your ons and offs, though I should point out that the game is set up to have a fairly strong smut element. Your partners will of course be expected to respect this and not just propose smut-smut-smut with Emra all the time -- but I want to make sure that you're cool with it if other players focus more on it amongst their own characters.

1. I don’t mind making her an immigrant. I’ll modify later tonight, if not tomorrow.

2. I just copied and pasted my Ons/Offs without editing it (it’s older, my tastes have grown) I’ll look that over as well.

Delirium

Oooh, this looks wickedly delicious.  I would like to try to take a shot at applying for Day Leader, perhaps?  Give me a bit, and I will write something up today.

Gypsy

I know this character's erotic interests is out of the game's main focus, but I really do like the idea and the setup, and it would still be fun to join in on the intrigue.

Name:    Iseult Malet
Type:      Visitor
Concept:   A young noblewoman from a family seeking to better their fortunes by whatever means necessary.  Lady Iseult seeks to buy time in the convent, refusing to consent to the marriage between herself and a wealthy, but elderly, nobleman who has worn out three wives already.  Rather than naively seeking a love match, however, she is working in concert with her father to make as much of her intended's position and wealth as they can, while waiting for his health to worsen, or a better arrangement to surface.  Her time is limited, so she is ripe for corruption, especially if it helps her arrange things more to her liking once she returns to the outside world.
Titles: The Hon. -- Her father is Sir Richard Malet, Baron of Eye
Gender: Female
Orientation: Heterosexual
Age: 18
Eye Color: Green
Hair Color: Brown

Appearance  Iseult is slender and well formed, standing perhaps a couple of inches taller than average, and she cultivates a composed, serene expression.  The snap of her eyes, and the keen awareness in them as she absorbs the conversations around her, often to be put to good use later, gives hint to the fiery passions that she keeps well hidden.  Her long, sleek hair is a mark of her vanity, and she either wears it loose where the shine can be seen, or elaborately braided with ribbons and pins.

Background  Iseult spent much of her childhood at her father's estate, under the care of servants.  She has been raised to believe that nobility is just a different form of coin, and that freedoms are earned exponentially, not just by title but by the alliances formed.  Her father's wealth has increased, but the majority of his assets have been tied up in acquiring land.  He is in need of capital or credit, and fortunately, his daughter's beauty is another form of capital to those that value such things.  As soon as she began to blossom into full womanhood, he took her into the city, and into society, the better to make her known and desired.  She has cultivated respectability, and a gentle demeanor, but those who know her best ... namely her servants and her father ... know that she has an acquisitive nature, and while she might be innocent by letter of the law, in spirit, she is far more worldly.

Personality  Knowledge, and for the power to be as free as she can be, is what Iseult values, and the focus of her raging hungers.  She bides her time because she understands the precariousness of her position -- if she demands more than society allows without the 'coin' to pay for it, she may find herself in a gilded cage, and far more constricted than she is currently.  She reads forbidden books, she listens to conversations and does not turn her eyes away from things that an innocent girl should not see.   She is cautious, manipulative, measured ... and underneath, always, is that hunger.

Abilities She can read, speak several languages, play the harp, sing, and writes with a steady and artistic hand.  She can sew, do needlepoint, is educated in the running of a household and in history and other fields considered 'suitable' ... she takes a particular interest in herb lore, for her own reasons.  Iseult is shrewd, an opportunistic, but she also has a clear vision of the power she would like to wield, and the limitations on how much she might wield without powerful alliances.

Desires and Dislikes  She wants to be free of the chains of society's expectations, if only rich enough or influential enough to get around them.  She wants knowledge, she wants to be able to order her world in the way she sees fit, and fill it with things beautiful to her eyes and her senses.

Ons and Offs  Technically, she is still a virgin, though she has been actively masturbating since puberty, and she is not at all shy about watching the doings of those who do not know she is about, or know but do not care.  She is also quite familiar with touching and being touched, though this too has been as much about desire for power, or more, than her physical gratification.  What she will do or try is fluid, but she will have no interest in anything that causes her more than slight pain (unless there is significant incentive), and certainly nothing that would leave more than a fleeting mark on her beauty (which she zealously guards.)  In terms of her own desires, she is attracted to men, mostly powerful men, but also can be attracted to submissive men who will bend to her will and go out of their way to please her.

Iseult is not attracted to other women, though that might not stop her from sexual exploits with them, depending on how she might benefit ... and, of course, curiosity might play a factor as well.

Writing Sample

Iseult peered around the edge of the door, her skirts gathered in her hands to preclude the likelihood of the fabric's movement giving away her presence.  Adam, the newest footman in the household, a young man with the bluest eyes Iseult had ever seen, and a very high opinion of his beauty, had cornered Gretchen in the nursery.  The room was now used mostly for the storage of linen (and assignations), since Iseult was the youngest, and had had no use for a nursery in years.  Gretchen, who was pretty enough if one discounted that her wide eyes, seemingly devoid of all but the faintest wisps of lashes, and slightly flattened chin gave her rather the look of a frightened rabbit, had been a thorn in her side these last few days, with her spying.  Well, now the tables were turned, were they not?

She held her breath, avid eyes locked on the pair as Adam reached up with a curved finger and titled Gretchen's chin, then dipped down to caress daringly over her bodice.  The girl tittered, and flushed, which made the spots on her face show all the more prominently.  Iseult winced, then reached up to run soft fingers along her own cheek, grateful for the fair skin of her mother that she had inherited.  Did the silly rabbit really think that Adam was motivated by nothing but her charms when he could have the pick of most of the servants and more besides?

Apparently, she did, for she did little more than twist her head around, to make sure they were not seen, causing Iseult to slide her head back, blocking the view of the masculine hands undoing the ties on Gretchen's straining bodice.  She didn't need to see anymore, anyway.  The sounds coming from within were enough to tell the tale, though she admitted to herself more than a little ... warm ... curiosity about what Adam was doing, since he seemed to be doing it quite well.  Slowly, she snuck another peek, eyes widening as her curiosity was satisfied.  Oh, my, that did look interesting, and technically, she supposed, it did not make Gretchen less a maiden.

Interesting though it was, she had seen enough.  When next Gretchen came spying, on behalf of whomever had purchased her loyalty, she would have knowledge with which to put a stop to it.  Knowledge was as good as coin, and often much better.

I look forward to it, Chanterelle!

Delirium -- first, welcome, and you definitely can! Your delightful choice in online persona totally gets you bonus points, to boot! But on a more serious note, Brittlby has also expressed interest in the position -- you both are more than welcome to try your hand at it, but ultimately only one character can be the head nun. Depending on which character seems the better fit, one of them may need to be changed.

Gypsy - time to welcome you back here officially! Iseult still looks great and gets an immediate approval! Plus, erotic potential aside, her social opportunities for this game should be very high.

Though you pasted a version prior to the age fix, so please adjust that again. :)

Name: Mother Constance Desmarais

Type: Resident

Concept: Heretical Masochist

Titles: Mother Superior, Duchess of Broyles (Formerly), The Inquisition’s “Hand of Mercy” (Formerly), Lady of Contrition and Indulgences for the Church (Formerly)

Gender: Female
Age: 32
Eye Color: Aquamarine
Hair Color: Red

Appearance

Constance seems to exude light and warmth, from her flawless pink skin to her easy smile to her sound wisdom. Charismatic and soft spoken, she entertains any questions with an open warmth and genuine interest in her flock.

Background

The Desmarais family frequently surfaces in historical literature, as staunch allies of the Light and ever benefactors of the Church. Constance, like her mother and grandmother before her, possessed an affinity for the Light. Though the archaic origins of her family’s connection to the Church are horrific and savage, for the last two centuries they provided the sacramental vintages. So refined is the palate of the Desmarais ladies, it is said that they can taste a man’s sins from a drop of sweat or strand of hair.

It is this “gift” that sent Constance away at the age of 12, renouncing her noble blood and family because of something she tasted from a kiss on her father’s cheek. She served with the Inquisition, as a “Hand of Mercy”, offering clemency and forgiveness for those who confessed. Clemency was often in the form of brutal execution, but considered more merciful for its brevity.

Young and fervent in her belief at the time, she soon came to realize even as she raised through the ranks, that there were no truly righteous men once they tasted what it was like to have power over another. They clothed their wickedness under the disguise of duty, their horrific vices sanctioned by the Church. Worse still, after tasting the sins of so many, she was beginning to develop appetites of her own.

And so it was that she left to become part of the most cynical (but considerably less bloody) branch of the Church, the Indulgences. While base peasants and farmers were held accountable before the Light, the wealthy had other options. For a fee, the righteous agent of the Church could take the sins upon themselves and offer the wealthy and “repentant” a morally clean slate, pardoning their wickedness.

The Indulgent would then pray and suffer to seek repentance in the place of the wealthy. While many sin eaters would shirk this part of their duty, taking the gold and not suffering to expunge the sins, Constance was diligent in her duties and unshakable in her faith in the Light.

Her faith in the Church... was not so unwavering at this point. And so it was that she came to Saint Ziv in the party on pilgrimage. Things went as they always do within the Convent but in Constance, the denizens found something remarkable. A worthy opponent.

Not content with her role within the Church, suffering in the place of the wealthy and wicked, she felt she found her calling within the walls of the Convent. She worked to convert and give counsel to the repentant by day, taking on their burdens by day and at night subjecting herself to the whims of the dark.

She follows the rules and does not reveal the nature of the Convent, nor does she attempt to convert the depraved unless they ask it of her. Rather she serves as a gentle guide to those who may be led astray... the last warning to turn back at the gates of perdition.

Personality

Mother Desmarais is resilient, her mind like a fortress. She feels that she was sent to the Convent by the Light itself, and her gifts were given to her so she might be a beacon to those in the darkest of places.

That said... she has tasted the sins of hundreds and experienced the depravities and delights as if they were her own. It has taken its toll, so much so that she has begun to develop a taste for certain indulgences herself, looking forward to her nights of “submission and repentance”.

She offers gentle advice to those who are being led off of the path and forgiveness for those who seek a way back into the grace of the Light. Constance plays a chess game with the forces of darkness, as they try to break her nightly and she tries to offer moral direction to the lost during the day.

Abilities

Constance is a trained pardoner and sin eater. As such, she can take in the burden of darkness within others. From a taste of a man, like a wine sommelier, she can divine something of the nature of his vices and sins.

She is an ex inquisitor and as such has a comprehensive knowledge of “modern” anatomy, torture methodology, Church doctrine and the secrets/vices of the hierarchy of the Church and nobles.

Additionally she is able to utilize the Light internally to heal herself and cleanse her spirit. It comes in handy as the Mother Superior can’t be seen welcoming guests with rope burns around her arms and thighs.

Desires and Dislikes

What was once truly contrition to purify her soul has begun to become something else. Constance has grown to on some level crave and enjoy her nights of submission.

Ah!  Ok.  Here is my write-up.  If Brittlby ends up being the better choice for Day Leader, no worries, this can be pretty well adjusted for any sister of the convent :)

Name: Sister Miriam; nee Arianne Strachvas
Type: Resident
Concept: Sister Submissive
Titles: Sister
Gender: Female
Orientation: Pansexual - as long as they are willing to hold a whip, Miriam has no qualms.
Age: 28
Eye Color: Green
Hair Color: Light brown with several streaks of gray

Appearance
She stands at 5'8", but holds herself proudly as the pillar of the convent.  Beneath the heavy layers of her vestments, she is somewhat slight of frame, thanks to a life of asceticism, but clearly firmly built.  Delve even further, and one will find a network of pink scars all along her back.

Background
Arianne was brought to the convent at the ripe at of 9 by a concerned farmer who found her wandering his lands wearing nothing but a singed smock and tightly clutching a small holy talisman to her chest.  Nearly catatonic, she merely moved when asked, opened her mouth when food and water were presented, but spoke nothing for a week.  When the nuns were finally able to coax a few words from her, the first sentence she whispered was, "The wicked shall burn."

Arianne's father had been a traveling textiles merchant who carried his life, including his wife and young daughter, in a wagon that rolled all around the nation of Kirania, as well as some of the neighboring kingdoms.  Life was relatively simple, though filled with experience for one so young.  Arianne was educated in the ways of the road and the people, quickly learning trade, barter, as well as social graces from her father's dealings.  "Smile and show warmth, but do not allow yourself to be taken for a sap, young one."  Her mother was a devoutly religious woman, and so taught her the principals of the Church by reading her passages day in and out.

One dry autumn evening while camping along an unmarked road, her father sent Arianne to fetch kindling and branches for the evening cook fire.  However, when she returned, Arianne was met with screams and horrible raucous laughter.  A band of highwaymen had come across her father's wagon and had proceeded in turning everything in on itself.  Arianne watched in horror as two strung up her father from the nearest tree, while several others raped and ravaged her mother.  Panicked, the child could only think to do one thing - she took her oil lantern and flung it at the nearest group of bandits.  Instantly, a man's britches caught flame, as did the wheel of the wagon, and soon the canvas, as well as several nearby trees.  In a matter of minutes, the camp was an inferno.

Arianne fled.

Grief, terror, exhaustion, and guilt wracked her young mind until it shattered.  She was barely a shell when the farmer had come upon her and taken her to the convent.  As she slowly returned to a sense of self, her mother's teachings had given her an implicit trust of the Church, the only thing left of comfort in this world.  But the incident left her mind warped, and the Convent's true nature only fed the darkness moreso.  She was first a diligent acolyte, then when she became of age, a dutiful and capable sister, re-baptized as Sister Miriam.  To the world, she was a paragon of righteousness and light:  kind, charitable, and devout.  But when the door were locked, she was forever seeking punishment for the death of her family.  The world was nothing but a cesspool of sin; what was there left but to give in?

Personality
Determined, diligent, and firm, but also charming and hospitable.  To those that know her true nature, she can be cold and unyielding, though she is still sympathetic to all.  Most are simply fools who do not know better.  She has a twisted devotion and faith to the Convent alone.

Abilities
A bastion of the Faith, she is well trained in the texts and interpretations.  Additionally, her time on the road left her gifted with a keen mind and a silver tongue.

Desires and Dislikes
The Convent is Sister Miriam's one true place of comfort in this world, and to keep it safe is her only goal in life.  Inquisitors and superiors of the Church of Light are more than welcome, but she would gladly slit their throats in their sleep if push came to shove.  Despite this violence is not in her nature, and just wishes for the world to open its eyes.

Ons and Offs
Ons:  BDSM (sub/switch with heavy emphasis on bondage); dubcon; many more, things are often up for discussion
Offs:  Incest, vore, watersports/scat, straight-up non-con or rape

[
Name: Sister Clarity / Eisheth
Type: Convent
Concept: Corrupted Nun
Titles: Sister
Gender: Female/Futa
Age: 27
Eye Color: Blue / pink
Hair Color: Black

Appearance
Sister Clarity is a slender woman with dark hair and pale skin. She stands around 5'6" tall, and wears glasses. She displays little evidence of her inner corruption under most circumstances, though her full lips and unconciously sensuous demeanor have inspired their fair share of impure thoughts. However, this innocence is merely a shell, one as thin as the robes she wears. The first evidence that something is wrong are the glistening black studs that adorn her nipples. When she is aroused or flustered, a sort of oily black goo begins to ooze out of her vagina. Eventually, her true nature becomes revealed as the color drains from her skin and the goo solidifies into a glistening black demonic cock.

Background
Sister Clarity was given to the church as an infant, and has lived among the clergy her entire life. She grew up to be a kind and compassionate girl, as innocent and pure as the driven snow. That innocence, however, would prove to be her downfall.

It began not quite 10 years ago, when she was sent on pilgramage to the cathedral in Kiranis. There, a corrupt, but not Corrupted, priest used his position to take advantage of Sister Clarity's innocence, convincing her to expose herself and allow him to touch her under the auspices of some half-baked nonsense about the cleansing Light. The priest's hands ignited the young woman's natural urges, leaving her flustered and confused. By itself, these experiences wouldn't have been more than a brief detour in her path towards the Light, but the forces of Darkness have an uncanny ability to sense weakness.

An agent of Darkness confronted her in the guise of a fellow sister, hinting at deeper knowledge of Sister Clarity's struggles. Desperate to understand what was wrong with her, and already beginning to doubt the priest, Clarity begged the Sister for help. What she received was a small box made of a dark, oily sort of wood, and a mention that more aid might be found in the Convent of St. Ziv.

Sister Clarity accepted the box, but the sight of it made her strangely uncomfortable, so she hid it away and tried to forget about it, hoping that whatever plauged her would pass on it's own.

It did not.

If anything, it became worse. By then she had begun to realize the nature of her struggle. She shunned the priest's affections, but the damage had already been done. A seed of lust now dwelt within her. Her body begged to be touched both day and night, and hardly an evening passed that her fingers didn't find their way between her legs. But she was doomed to remain unsatisfied, frustrated, until she opened the box.

Within, laying upon purple velvet, was a long phallus of glistening black stone. Sister Charity had never seen one before, but she knew what it was, as well as roughly what she was supposed to do with it. Some part of her knew that it was wrong, and that she would be crossing a line, but she lied to herself, saying 'Just this once, so that I sooth this burning heat...'

Unbeknownst to her, just once was all the demon needed. The black rod was far more than a simple dildo. It was in truth the corporeal form of a parasitic demon known as a phallolith. As she thrust the demon inside her body, through the opening of her sex, the demon thrust itself inside of her soul, through the opening of her sin. It spread through her, coating her spirit in it's dark, oily essence, both consuming and becoming her very soul.

Sister Chastity awoke the next morning with only the faintest memories of the previous night. She felt confused and weak, but had a certainty that she must travel to the Convent of St. Ziv. Her superiors were curious as to why she felt the sudden need to leave, but 'I feel called by the Light' was sufficent to deflect suspicion. She was gone within the week.

Personality
The present Sister Charity is kind and considerate, if also rather absent minded. She often acts in a highly flirtatious manner, though this seems to be more from airheadedness and innocence than any lacivious intent.

Of course, this is all a front. 'Sister Chastity', the airheaded sweetheart, is nothing more than a semi-autonomous shell hiding her true self, the nacent demon Eisheth. Eisheth is mischevious, cruel, and filled with lust. She revels in sin. The only thing better to her than participating in debauchery is leading the innocent down the same path.

Abilities
Eisheth is the darkest elements of Sister Clarity's spirit infused with demonic essence, and manifests as an oily black goo that dwells within the Sister's body. Eisheth can hide inside the shell of her former self, making her very difficult to detect by agents of the Light. However, when she is hidden in this way, she's only able to indirectly influence Sister Clarity's behavior, leaving what's left of her old self in charge.

When manifested, Eisheth has unnatural strength and speed, and is able to exude the black goo of her demonic corpus and control it for a variety of purposes. She can solidify it to varying degrees, creating weapons, or more commonly, a penis. She can also infuse it into others on contact, creating temporary minor transformations and other physical effects.

She also has the ability to infuse much more of her essence into a fully willing individual, planting a similar seed to the original phallolith within them. Properly nourished, this seed will eventually sprout, corrupting them into a weaker demon bound to Eisheth.

For now, Eisheth is still fairly weak. The dual being of Sister and Demon is still mostly Sister Clarity. However, as the Sister feeds her darker half, Eisheth grows and corrupts her further, becoming more powerful even as her 'shell' grows thinner.

Desires and Dislikes
Eisheth desires apotheosis through sin. She seeks to complete her transformation into a full demon and to corrupt others and bind them to her will. Sister Clarity, if asked what she wanted, would have trouble answering.

Three new characters, excellent -- and also, welcome, Eikichi!

Brittlby and Delirium, the proposals for head nun are very interesting and will need further consideration. I'd like both of you to think about how your characters feel about actively engaging in subterfuge towards other members of church and visitors, hiding what happens in the convent and aiding the enemies of the Light-- and write a bit about that. From my understanding, this will likely be more involved for Constance, since she retains a genuine belief in The Light, but I'd still like to know what Miriam thinks on the subject -- and also if she has any plans or hopes for her future.

A side note for Brittlby - since Light and Dark are opposed, as Constance's affinity towards the dark grew and grows, exacerbated by constant exposure, her abilities will have continually weakened. I'm absolutely fine with her retaining a measure of healing and cleansing, but its growing weakness and fear of a complete loss could be very interesting to explore.

And for Knarfy -- welcome to the new thread! Overall, I see no problems with the character and the duality is definitely an interesting element to explore. It'll be interesting how other residents interact with the blissfully ignorant 'shell'.  ;D Let us know when you've got the sheet finished.

Edit: Sorry, so much to look over, I forgot to add -- Chantarelle's Emra is now approved.

#35
Name: Emrafah Hyzenthlay
Type: Visitor
Concept: Possessed by a succubi/maiden seeking help
Titles: None
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Eye Color: Brown almost black
Hair Color: Dark brown

Appearance Tall and slender, yet toned and strong. Her measurements are 35-24-35 and she stands, taller than most women at 5’10.

Background Emra was born to immigrants from Leona, a country in the midst of a civil war, allied with Kirania. Leonites, as they are derogatorily called (the proper name being Leonians), is a land of mixed religions and cultures. Discrimination and out right racism against Leonians runs rampant outside of its borders, even so, her parents could not begin to imagine raising there child in such chaotic times.

Her parents died when she was 16, leaving her the family farm. She found the work and the days long. When she wasn’t feeding, gardening, milking, gathering, cooking or cleaning she was in the market selling her products. Life was grueling and redundant but predictable.

One evening, at the age of 23, while asleep in her bed, she awoke drenched in sweat, her heart pounding in her chest. It was no nightmare that had woken her up but a sudden paralyzing feeling that had ripped through her peaceful sleep. There had been no movement, no sound and yet Emra knew there was someone or something else in the room with her.    The next sensation she would feel was a sharp, twisting pain in her abdomen that sent her clutching at her stomach, she even opened her mouth to scream but as she did, whatever presence she had been feeling took shape before her very eyes in the form of...herself. Eyes widening in fear and confusion Emra projected a scream at the thing which only served to make it smile maniacally before imploding into a shower of dust, the motes of which gathered together and flew down Emra’s slender throat before she could even stop screaming.

For a while she sat there in bed trying to convince herself that what had just happened had not. She had almost done it when her skin started to itch and burn, the sensation of thousands of fireants biting. Running out barefoot into the cool night air brought minimal relief to her so she stripped off her night gown, exposing herself shamefully to the Light. Emra fell to her knees before realizing that the itching and burning had stopped. But by now Emra was hysterical, collapsing to the ground, wailing. Whatever was happening to her was not of the Light, this was something dark and twisted. She could feel it...inside of her, it was a heavy feeling that incongruently made her body feel light and her head swim, at the same time it was a dark, insidious feeling. She knew from years of going to church that this was demonic. Slipping back on her white, cotton nightgown, she slowly rose, staggering a bit, still sobbing. She knew where she had to go, because this had been no dream. This had been a demon.

Personality Serious and hard-working, religious and reverent, Emra bides her time as she waits for death to take her as it took her parents, but she is patient and knows the church disdains suicide. So...hands tied...she finds a beautiful obliviousness in work of any kind.

Being a virgin, she is shy and weary of the opposite sex unless dressed in religious garb. Her faith is strong and the only thing keeping her persistent in life, or else she would have killed herself long ago.

Abilities She has a strong will based on faith. And a strong body based on back breaking non-stop work.

Desires and Dislikes Emra has given up on her desires as times and life are hard on orphaned farmers. She used to dream of a man taking her away from all of the pain and hardship.

Her dislikes would be a bad season for her crops and having to kill an animal for sustenance.

(OOC: She’d go something like this!)

Name: Mother Constance Desmarais

“The Light Always Prevails... here endeth the lesson.” Mother Constance closed the tome, savoring the stench of old paper and rich leather. The brass latch pricked her thumb as she slowly twisted it into a locked position. A few drops of blood trickled down her freckled fingers to splash on top of the symbols etched into the lock. The filigreed righteous sigils stood stark red against brass as she whispered a soft prayer of blessing atop it, preventing the pages from molestation by the forces of darkness over the “long night”.

She smiled warmly at the congregation, having reached the informative portion of the service, “Please welcome our guests only arrived this morning. They come to us on pilgrimage no less. Mathias, Karen and Tobias are passing through our way, awaiting a break in the poor weather before pressing onwards.

The eldest brother, Mathias, was a tawny young man, wiry from continued labor during the small famine. He eyed her furtively with a look she recognized in men, a flush settling over his face as she mentioned him by name, “I warn you all... I myself was on the same pilgrimage and fell in love with this place. A week at Ziv’s can turn into a lifetime...”

Constances smile turned razor thin for a moment as if she were enjoying a private joke. It was only an instant before she was radiating her light again, “I have also been informed that caution is necessary beyond the walls of the Convent come nightfall. The wild boars have returned with the turn of the season. It is not recommended you leave the walls after dark. But there is always some good with the bad... even when we do not see it. In this case, we shall be breaking our fast with ham this morning after so many weeks of hard cheese and unleavened bread.”

She stepped from the pulpit, meeting the gaze of more than a few of the agents of Darkness as she resumed her role as figurehead and master of the day clergy. The exchange was subtle. They promised her horrors and delights in the night to come, while her own gaze brooked no dissension amongst the rabble while the watchful eye of the sun was out, “My door is always open... as I am rarely to be found inside the study. Look to the Garden, the wine cellar or the aviary if you have any need of me. Bask in the daylight... It grows cold at night.”

++++

Mother Constance had been tending to the wine, testing its buoyancy with a slender silver bauble.  Fermentation was very much the process of corruption at play, and so in its study she found it had much in common with the insidious and infectious methodology of the Dark. The application of reagents and pressure to what was once the bounty of the sun, followed by darkness and time. The part she savored the most was when she blessed it. Again, the task not entirely dissimilar to her own at the Chapel.

Finding a new place in the Light for things corrupted by the darkness...

She sampled the wine, breathing in across her tongue as she judged where it was in the process. As she did so, Constance found the young man, Mathias had braved the steps of the wine cellar to seek her out, “Mathias?”

“Pardon, your grace! I know you are quite busy!” He seemed on some level elated that she remembered his name, barely a man at nineteen summers.

“I don’t think of it as busy. My father used to ask, if you enjoy what you do, is it truly work?”

“I... is it appropriate to discuss a lapse of faith with you or is there another sister who accepts confession?” He blurted out, “I have shamed myself on this holy ground.”

“You have scarcely been on the grounds since cock’s crow. How much can a fresh faced boy sin in four hours?” She replied, putting down her vintner tools in favor of giving him her full attention. A slender hand like a dove patted the seat next to her

“Heh..”  He laughed nervously before sitting down at her behest, “I... When we were first allowed into the gates, I took my sister and brothers bags to our quarters. I... I passed a large door and a voice drew my attention. Otherwise, I swear I would not have...” he swallowed hard, as if fearful she did not believe him. Constance simply nodded to reassure him and he rediscovered his courage, “The door was open and I spied you... You were cleaning yourself at the basin and whispering prayers.”

Constance smiled softly as she divined where the confession was headed, “If it was because my door was left open, this sounds as if perhaps I am the one who should apologize.”

“I spied you without clothing, in the midst of morning prayers, calling out to the Light and... I could not forget the sight. Even now.” He blushed furiously at the memory, “I found a private corner and... touched myself. I would have cried out your name but I did not know it.”

Mother Constance responded with a short chuckle, as he believe to think she was so delicate that being masturbated to would fill her with revulsion. A mere week ago, she had begged and suckled at the phallus of a devil lord to spare a young woman learning the vices of the Darkness before she moved onwards. She suspected much the same might be in her future tonight to protect Mathias’ siblings.

Mother Constance reassured him, “... the brightest Lights cast the darkest shadows. Our Light of life crafts many pleasing things and the strong are rewarded when they defeat temptation. Would you know me carnally and not know my name or would you find one for who you were made and she for you?”

She stood to her full height, running her hand through the curls of his hair as he rested his head against her abdomen, “A few minutes sweating in a hallway, hiding in the dark... is that worth your vows? Temptation is as fleeting as your lust. It passes and then you must look at yourself during the rest of the day.”

“I see.”

“When you find love, there will be no room in your heart for what you saw of me.” She assured him, helping him to his feet before she took her leave. Despite her protests to the contrary, she WAS actually quite busy.

++++

She had caught Lorte in the hallway after nightfall. He had been staring lasciviously at Karen throughout the day and so she suspected that might be his destination. Amongst the dark things in the Convent, they savored corruption. And while a young virgin was a fair prize, more intriguing was being the one to break Mother Constance.

She feigned weakness and arousal and he was upon her instantly, taking her to his chambers and having his way with her. The fetters dug sharply into her wrists and thighs. Her struggle was half seeking freedom and half enjoying the taut embrace of the rope.

Lorte breath hissed against her sweaty shoulder blade as he moved to mount her from behind, “Your new boy... he is something else...” His breath stank of the cask of wine she had reserved for lesser creatures. Unblessed and sour, “Kahr is trying her hand at him. Would you like to be his pet once we’ve taught him the appropriate appetites?”

She mumbled back an assent against her gag, knowing full well that refusal would only strengthen the demon’s resolve to break Mathias. Her compliance would keep Karen safe from Lorte at least for tonight.

++++

Mother Constance dribbled the cold water across her chest, wiping away the kiss of the lash and blood as she prayed. This time she had made certain her door was closed. It wouldn’t do for HER to tempt the wayward! The irony of it was almost enough to give her chills.

The water as it ran down her slender form grew red with blood and eventually... black with sin. Her skin was radiant in the looking glass, shimmering as it burned away the depravities of the previous night. It was once a glorious moment as the morning sun came up to her chamber and it’s eye revealed her to be perfect and resplendent.

... that was years ago. Now she could see the stains. Faint like freckles across her pale skin, they tugged at her heart and loins. The remnants of sins she had drank too deeply from and enjoyed too much. Constance suspected that she could still bleach them away, if she did not wish on some level to keep them.

Some sins that remained to mark her were the only memory left of people she had failed to bring to the light, while others... well others she just happened to enjoy remembering. She was only human, after all!

++++

“The Light Always Prevails... here endeth the lesson.” Mother Constance closed the tome, savoring the stench of old paper and rich leather. The brass latch pricked her thumb as she slowly twisted it into a locked position.

“Too soon has the time left us... to our Pilgrims, we wish you a safe and warm journey.” She smiled down at the three siblings who were already packed and leaving after breaking fast. Mathias had put on weight and she could see the color creeping back in his cheeks. He held his sister’s small bag and smiled up at the Mother Superior. Karen also had a healthy glow, having taken to her studies of the Word with a renewed vigor.

Times like this were what made her sacrifice worthwhile. She would have reveled in it more but for the fact her eyes happened to stray to the youngest, Tobias. The boy smiled up at her angelically, his lips parting like a razor blade for a moment as his grin broadened impossibly wide. His teeth were barbed and wicked in a purple maw... and then the moment was gone. He was back to being an angelic child.

Mother Constance had feared that might be the case and so she had given Mathias rations for the trip. She had traced the sigils with her own tears and they would be in the creatures belly before the sickness took him and he realized his choices. Fight his demons or succumb to the fever.

It was a violation of her agreement on Convent grounds, but once he was down the road, he was fair game. She looked down at her hands where they rested atop the tome, the new dark freckles staining her fingertips reminding her that pride too could be a sin...

TheLaughingOne

Heyya Dhi!

No idea if only accepting males... But!

I think a majority of our chars are futa, or something like, one genderfluid (As they are a seduction demon), one male played by someone voicing they would like to see him turned to a female, and female, i kinda doubt that we are really doing something hetrocentric :3

A big theme is breaking taboos, and going with your urges, so its unlikely characters will catch grief over sexuality, save in dayside stuff where they nees to try and pass for normal as to not grab suspicion and all which would be bad.

Hope that helps some!

Hey, TLO!

What I'm seeing is at least some expectation that the number of male and female characters at the convent should be in equilibrium. There's also nothing on the sheets to indicate sexual preference. At least one character is specifically not interested in women, but the rest are a mystery.

Well, we only have one male.. mine claims male in public, but thats more of expectation from family then how they feel.

And.. yeah, bad on my part for that assumption:T though, i think one most of the hetro players bowed out as the majority of characters were female with no real option for otherwise..

So.. no idea, sorry:(

Hey Dhi, welcome and thank you for your interest! The premise is not intended as a straight vehicle, but we got a fair amount of players with female 'guest'-type characters and hetero preference which we don't actually have any player 'resident' character for. We're definitely not restricting to males-only at the moment, just hoping to get some interest on that line so that everyone has some potential partners for the sexual parts of the game. I'll make a variety of NPCs when we begin to help with that.

Name: Father Elias Grove
Type: Resident
Concept: Corruption demon; similar to a satyr or faun
Titles: He of Dappled Shadow and Growing Need; Azazel
Gender: Male
Orientation: Omnisexual
Age: Unfathomable
Eye Color: Violet; Golden
Hair Color: Black

Appearance

Elias is 6'3", with a slim, yet muscular, build and wide, sturdy shoulders.  His ears come to a definitive point and give his over-all appearance a slightly elvish quality, a defect of the transformation he seems unable (or unwilling) to correct.  He speaks with a low, deep, velvety voice that travels along the skin like caressing fingertips, easily drawing one's attention and commanding their focus.  Seemingly due to his devotion to the gardens and their residents, he smells subtly of fresh, loamy earth, cut grass, dried leaves, charred wood and honey.

While he doesn't often fully relinquish his human form in the company of others, he will often allow himself to take on aspects of that form when there is no chance of being witnessed by an outsider.  In these moments, antlers like those of a buck grow from his skull to extend outward in tree-like branches.  The nails on his fingers blacken and grow sharper, lengthening slightly to short, but wicked, claws.  His voice takes on an even deeper, more gravely tone, turning inhuman, though even more enticing and hypnotic than before.  Likewise, the scents that were subtle in his human form thicken and grow intoxicating, though not unpleasant, in their richness.

Background

Azazel was a being of the woods before man encroached there, born of the shadows cast by the leaves upon the decaying underbrush.  In those times before time was recorded, he was a spirit, an idea that moved through the trees on the dustmotes, carried in the breath of the beasts and whispered in the breeze.  Then, man invaded the forest and brought with him imagination, lust, fear, anger, passion and the concept of sin.  The idea that was Azazel found these unfamiliar beings intriguing; their emotions so complex and alluring.

More and more humans came, and brought with them jealousy, greed, violence and pride.  They taught Azazel much and before long he created for himself a form by which he might interact with these creatures, so that he might better understand them.  Time passed, as it did, and he was given a name to go with his form, and a purpose.  Their beliefs fascinated him and he found that he enjoyed manipulating their emotions and physical forms in order to alter how they thought; both about themselves and the world around them.

They were infinitely enjoyable playthings with which he could pass the time.  And watching how his influence affected not just individuals, but entire groups of these beings, was thrilling.  He traveled from his wood and moved among them, finding places to live where he would have readily-available supplies of humans whom he could corrupt, instruct, and manipulate.  He preferred those instances when his influence could affect the most humans possible, which often meant he moved among the powerful within their society.

The Holy Convent of Saint Ziv is a wonderful banquet at which he can feast and from which he can spread the Darkness's influence without detection.

Personality

Elias is a charming, soft-spoken, unassuming man who spends most of his time among the plants and bees that he loves.  When he's not working in the gardens, tending to his hives or reading in the library, he likes to hike in the wild places around the convent.  This is the face that he shows to the outside world, those who know nothing of what lives within and never shall.

Azazel is equally charming, but far more sinister and intense than his persona.  He is confident, sly and unnervingly observant, capable of stripping others bare and knowing their most intimate secrets.  He takes obvious pleasure in winnowing out the darkest, most shameful, desires in those he encounters and holding it up before them.  His sadistic nature comes out in the form of humiliating his subjects with the truth, shining a light on the darkest corners of themselves and forcing them to wallow in the filth they want to ignore.  He gets no pleasure from harming people unless some part of them enjoys the pain, no thrill from humiliating those who do not crave it.

Abilities

Telepathy - Azazel can transmit his voice and images into the minds of humans and demons (though other demonic and supernatural entities can block him if they try)

Pheromones - He can infuse his scent with a biochemical with an aphrodisiac that stimulates blood flow to the erogenous zones, increases nerve sensitivity and promotes arousal.

Hypnotism - His voice, sometimes in conjunction with his telepathy, can be used to induce a trance-like state that makes the target more suggestible and amenable to commands.  (Like the telepathy, this power can be blocked by supernatural entities.)

Shadow-stepping - Azazel can move short distances by stepping into a shadow and emerging from another shadow no more than 50 feet away.  He can travel further in his fully demonic form, but this power is limited when in his human and half-human guise.

Superhuman Strength - He can lift and carry up to twice his body weight with ease.

His other, more mundane skills, include knowledge of all human languages, preternatural grace, familiarity with all plants and animals, and the ability to play all wind instruments.

Desires and Dislikes

Azazel's interests lie in those of his partner, though he always commands the dominant role in his sexual encounters.  He derives his enjoyment of an act from the responses of his partner, so there is nothing he would not take pleasure in, as long as the other person was taking pleasure in it...in some fashion.

He takes particular pleasure in intelligent partners, those who have strong wills and dark desires.

He dislikes those who give in too easily or grow clingy.  The dull, unintelligent and mundane bore him easily and he will move on quickly to more intriguing victims.

Ons and Offs

My main offs with a character like this are scat, vore, excessive gore, and cliche romance.

I am fairly open otherwise, due to the nature of the character, but if something comes up that needs to be discussed, I am happy to do so and try to find a compromise that makes both parties happy.

Father Elias was bent over a flourishing lavender bush with the sun trickling through the leaves of a potted olive tree (for whom he was still searching out the perfect spot to plant), when he caught the faint whiff of lemon verbena soap.  Pretending to be unaware of the soft footsteps that approached him, he continued to deftly clip off the dead blooms and place them nearby for his compost bin.

After a moment, he heard the young woman's dress rustle quietly before she spoke in that sweet, clear voice, all awash with timidity.  "E-excuse me, father?  Might I have a moment of your time?"

Clipping one last, withered blossom from the lavender, he set it aside and turned to the flushed girl in cream and pale blue, his lips curving into a warm and inviting smile that revealed the slight declivity in his right cheek.  "But, of course, Celeste.  How can I help you?"

------

Several hours later, the sun having dipped below the horizon some time before, Azazel stood before Celeste with that same smile curling his lips.  She was stripped of her delicate, silken garments and her perfectly-arranged hair was loose and falling around her pretty face in shining, golden waves.  Her creamy skin was flushed once more, though now it was a heady blend of passion and shame that brought her to blush, and not shyness.

Staring at him with huge, glistening, tearful brown eyes, she begged him to hurt her more, even as she begged him to stop.  Beneath his calloused hands, her slender, heretofore untouched, body arched and quivered as he gave her those sensations she craved; feeding the hungers within her that she had tried so desperately to ignore.

When he finally left her, just before the sun rose once more and banished the night, he laid the bouquet of lilies she'd requested for her room across her naked breasts, the while flowers a beautiful contrast to the shining, red welts his crop had left behind on her milky flesh.

Name: Francis Mormon (Human) | Zaesir (Demon) (Pronunciation: Zay-seer)
Type: Resident
Concept: Undertaker / Crossroad's Demon
Titles: Mr. Mormon, Lord Zaesir
Gender: Male
Orientation: Heterosexual
Age: Milleniums, though his current meatsuit is a good fifty years(give or take.)
Eye Color: Brown(Human meatsuit)
Hair Color: Ash Brown aged with Grey. (Human meatsuit)

Appearance
Meatsuit - Tall, standing at a height of 6’0” even. Aged showing plenty of gray hairs mixed in his dark, brown locks. Toned, possessing a hint of muscle to his average build.
Demon – Unknown, no mortal has been graced with Zaesir's true image. The image he can maintain on earth is only one of a blob of black smoke and it cannot physically interact with anything beyond possessing corrupted mortals.

Background
Long before holy crusades, before the crucifixion of Christ; there was Zaesir. An entity that was molded and created for the sole purpose of tainting humanity. It is believed he came into existence two millenniums after the introduction of Antediluvian's biblical characters(Cain, Enoch, Adam, Eve and the like.) Which in truth would also merit that Zaesir saw the rise and fall of many kingdoms starting through mid Bronze Age and onwards.

Of course, he never had as much power as he does today. Being a fresh Crossroad's Demon means limits in capabilities. Truthfully it took many dealings to get where he is now; thousands onto hundreds of thousands of souls collected to grow into the demon he is presently. Even he has lost track of the number of meatsuits he worn upon Earth when dealing with those greedy mortals; but back then, he wasn't so limited in picking out a 'uniform.' Sadly the stronger one gets, the more corrupted a suit must be to host them, but that was just one element he had to deal with in the growing millenniums.

Zaesir has bore witness to many events. He has seen peasants rise to nobility, kings dethroned, kingdoms conquered, and various biblical events throughout history. He would not be so bold to claim to 'seen it all,' but he has witnessed enough to grant truth of the inner workings of good and evil. Why, he is a player himself in that field; an entity working his way up to have something more solid for himself over time.

Sadly these dreams of his are currently just that; even one as aged as he requires a lot of work to get where they want in life. His business side and desire for power has left him assuming many roles through the web of history; and as much as he wouldn't mind being a King, it does not grant one much maneuverability to continue their other job. Thus was why Zaesir begun to take upon the roles of various mortals that could blend within a kingdom before they may age and die.

Which that stream has left him in possession of a former Mr. Mormon. Oh, not the grandest of humans, given Zaesir's aging in power and restrictions in possession. Mr. Mormon was a terrible fellow, a former lesser noble responsible for the death of his wife. A wicked man seeking to betrothed another, but sadly that never came to be when Zaesir acquired his new meatsuit. The sweet and foolish gal promised never met her future husband as a result and the known Mr. Mormon vanished over the following years.

Probably all, but nearly forgotten, but the suit has allowed Zaesir to continue onwards in his twisted game. He even joined the Covenant and continues to serve as an Undertaker for over half a decade. Within such a place of growing corruption, Zaesir has seen many dreary mortals and humans can just be easily tempted in a 'holy,' place. Not everyone seeks redemption, alternative dealings can just as easily win favor and gain power; and at the end of the day, Zaesir is still a business man deep down, making the best bid for any soul he can grab.

Personality
Mocking – When peeved, he often taunts those he is in company with in more ways than one. This can also play into his voice mimicry power to add further insult to injury.
Mildly Psychotic - He is a demon, although his business side often keeps this in check. Still, he is the last person you want to get on a bad end with as torture is just another tool of the trade.
Sarcastic - Sharp wit and tongue alike has left Mr. Mormon someone to not be trifled with in dull-ish matters.
Ambitious - Why, again, he is a demon; being ‘adored,’ is part of his ambition. Petty, perhaps, but it is behavior that often wins favor. Keeping any clients and minions appeased is just another layer of the game.
Generous - Why no good deed goes unrewarded, but the reward itself may not be what some may want.

Abilities
Social
Negotiation - He is a businessman, having gain considerable power through his many dealings with mortals in the past.
Manipulation - He knows well how to control the masses, how to blend within a crowd, and take upon any role as a normal member of society.
Clever - Should go without saying, but he is a crafty, gray-hair fox.
Powers
Teleportation -The ability to teleport to one place to another without occupying the space in-between.
Voice Mimicry - The ability to mimic another's voice.
Telekinesis- Is the ability to move or otherwise exert force on objects or people from a distance and without physical contact. The ability is often used with gestures, other forms of bodily motion. However, it is also used with some form of mental effort, as well as with strong emotion.
Regeneration -The ability to heal wounds and injuries beyond that of a normal person. This ability does not however make its holder immortal or invulnerable, just more difficult to kill than normal beings.
Supernatural Senses – The ability to sense those of the supernatural. (Demons, ghosts, angels, etc.)
Possession: The ability to possess another human being. He can also possess corpses although the latter will quickly begin to deteriorate and no amount of healing can sustain those bodies. In theory he can also possess an already possessed, corrupted human and kick the entity out if it is much weaker than him; although in that regard, there really is no point, less he is just wanting to be a dick to one of the two forces.
Racial
Crossroad's Demon – Crossroad's Demons are generally known as entities capable of making a deal with a human. They are the classical definition of 'sale your soul to the devil.' As such, a Crossroad's Demon is capable of empowering a mortal to whatever extent to grant their wish. This could be in giving them an inhumane ability(nothing Godly.) This could be of aiding them to achieve a goal(such as turning a pauper into a lord or even king.) This could go along in granting them revenge. There is no end sight to the possibilities; although the simple conclusion is this: the wish is one and one only. In return for the mortal's soul, they will give the mortal what they yearn for the most. Once the soul is signed, it cannot be claimed by any other entity under any circumstances. What is traded to a Crossroad's Demon belongs to a Crossroad's Demon.

Weaknesses
Social
Non-Combatant - He has no skill in fighting and often prefers to not dirty his hands. When he does, his methods are cheap and underhanded; and if he can't win that way, tactical retreat is always the next best option.
Pride - Sometimes his pride can get in the way of logical reason. Especially if he feels that he has been wronged. Woe to those involved as he is vengeful.
Arrogant - Why, he believes himself to be more important than anyone; why shouldn't he, after all?
Powers
Possession - Must rely on human hosts to carry him as his physical form cannot be maintained on Earth. In truth, those that may see his 'demon form' will only be able to see a large, black smoke. Also he cannot freely possess anyone, the bodies he harbors must meet considerable conditions for one of his corruption level. These individuals must had a healthy toll of sin; be they murders, rapists, corrupted individuals of power and influcence responsible for heinous crimes behind the scenes or anything else of that grave of matter.
Racial:
Crossroad's Demon – Pactmaking has strict rules in itself.  Crossroad's Demons cannot cheat the pact, they cannot directly kill the individual that sold them their soul in terms of reaping early on the fruits. Under the same token, Crossroad's Demons are under no obligation to protect someone if their goal isn't achieved should they die from natural causes or other events; although in these events that would also mean there can be no collection(unless part of the goal has already been granted.) These entities cannot make pacts with otherworldly individuals(fellow demons, angels, and the like.) The human must have freewill in making a deal; this means those possessed with another entity controlling them cannot work in having anything bestowed upon them. The human must know what they are getting themselves involve with(there is no skirting or beating around the bush in trade of a soul.) Also the human cannot opt out of a deal if conditions of it have already been fulfilled(there is no leaving the ride early once it begins.)

Desires and Dislikes
Desires
Power – A common desire for all entities. Zaesir is no different, he intends to grow in power, build a monopoly, and capitalize in ruling a realm of his own one day. Zaesir simply wishes to be 'The King;' whether this is on Earth, Hell, or even Heaven makes no difference to him.
Sex - Why, who doesn't?
Fine Wine – A good drink beyond the typical swill of other lesser alcoholic beverages is always appreciated.
Rules – While some demons may thrive on chaos, Zaesir prefers rules. That is why he is a Crossroad's Demon.
Dislikes
Angels - Most of them are boring drones with sticks lodged up their arses.
Wittiness - As much as he shows it, he dislikes others mocking him or trying to play coy or be 'funny,' in any way.
Idiots - He despises those that can't think for themselves. He loathes having to hand a playbook every time of his expectations.
Rulebreakers – Should go without saying, but Zaesir doesn't play nice with those that can't follow the rules or tries to bend them. He has been known to murder fellow Crossroad's Demons who are petty in indirectly killing their pactmakers. He is also responsible for 'mysterious vanishings' within the Covenant of those that refuse to play by the rules.

Dhi

Name: Abigail Dimblebee
Type: Resident
Concept: Barber surgeon nun
Titles: Sister
Gender: Female
Orientation: Lesbian
Age: 24
Eye Color: Early autumn birch hazel
Hair Color: Amber honey strawberry blonde

Appearance
Gentle-seeming, slight and fair, with a soft-spoken demeanor and compact body language, holy gesture close to her chest. In robes she can be recognized by her small, thoughtful steps, and her curious distraction to peer down each avenue and into each doorway of the convent. Abigail is a listener rather than a lecturer, and when she speaks, it is lightly, with a smile, expecting obedience.

Abigail sings an irreplacable deep register in the choir, which her sisters on the bench can only approach in throaty hum. Her habit always smells lightly of the gardens and forest where she collects her ingredients, and her skin- particularly her beauty-marked throat- is haunted by a smuggled fragrance of lush magnolia, dizzying rush of musk, and sprinkle of spice.

Background
She recalled going with her sisters in the wildflower fields of their youth, spotting what looked like pixie nests in the trees and inventing encounters with invisible goblins. She and Fiona and Hessie had all hatched from the same egg, and Abigail so resembled her sisters that when they played their trickster games, few could tell them apart. At the end of one afternoon of sport, Hessie fashioned for her a crown of white carnations so thick the bundle could not stay straight on her skull. Her darling curly hair grew tangled in it from itching, and only once they reached the house for supper was it discovered that a great many ants called these carnations home. Her father threatened to shave her head, and Abigail cried until the threat was rescinded.

She recalled being upset at the sight of Hessie flashing boys her treasure and realizing then that her sisters' interests were not her own. She had gone out to the wildflower fields in hopes her sisters would rally to her, and then further into the woods in hopes they would worry. It was a queer autumn day with violent shapes in the clouds, and there alone with her resentment she was sure the darkness populated only with her imagination murmured something to her. So wretched a thing had it said that she could never share it with her sisters, and it nestled in her brain like a sparkling jewel.

She recalled coming to reside at the abbey of Saint Alena and coming under the tutelage of the ascetic barber surgeon. More than anything she remembered his ridicule, and being chastised for the way she held a razor again and again until he seemed to give up on her. But what did he know- she had learned more from grooming her lovely sisters than she ever would from a setter of leeches. All that he knew came from those books he consulted doggedly like idols of knowledge, and if only Abigail had ever learned to read, she would be the one leading him around by the tender ear.

She recalled coming to stay at the Holy Convent of Saint Ziv, where her services were needed, and rekindled was her imagination by the sinister loom of the architecture, the wandering whispers, the glow of hellish light under barred oak doors. When moonlight took the yard that first night she was awakened by footsteps unknown, and with a feeble candle she went spying through keyholes for the source of all this mystery. The goblins she had long imagined did not disappoint, in the flesh, and she remembered what they'd told her long ago. God is not real. She would keep their secret with fluttering heart.

These memories washed from Abigail's thoughts as they pulled her from the baptismal water. A cough clucked wet in her throat, and they draped her naked body in white cloth. Forevermore, she would be a Sister, and hold these oaths like scripture tattooed to her heart. These were her family, now.

Personality
Abigail is stubborn; to forbid a thing is to forever keep it in her mind, and when words prove insufficient she urges with her hands- pinching, pulling hair, twisting arms, and flicking softness. Because her methods of coercion are ineffective on men, Abigail is quiet around the menfolk of the convent. Those who do not know her well would call her shy.

Above all forbidden things, a mystery compels Abigail. Her mind swims with flights of fantasy where others hold responsibility and good judgement, and it is a primordial soup for conspiracy and sin. If there is a secret in the church, its surest pursuer will be Abigail.

The sin dearest to Abby's own heart is vanity; not just her own, but vanity in the grooming of her sisters. The care she takes of a woman under her scissors would be named excessive, decadent by the powers that be.

Abilities
For almost a decade Abigail has borne scissors and razor in the thankless craft of a barber, long enough to have mastered the art of shaving monk tonsures and keeping sisters tidy. Secondary to her calling is the vulgar labor of surgeon, for which she served under an aged priest to learn bloodletting, balancing of humours, dentistry, childbirth, and castration of animals. This dangerous work necessitates the preparation of special ointments from herbal and mineral ingredients for the numbing of pain, paralyzing of muscle, and ward against evil entry into wounds.

Desires and Dislikes
Holding the keys to beauty is Abigail's fondest wish. Secrets of beauty from faraway lands entice her desperately, be they mundane or cruel or sorcerous. To remain beautiful herself is pleasing, but to hold power over the beauty of another is orgasmic.

Abigail would like to learn to read, but thus far has not had the patience for it, and gets by inventing her own stories from the patterns of lines on a page.

She resents being scolded, must be instructed patiently lest her stubbornness bully, and cannot be forbidden from anything.

Ons and Offs
When Abigail's appetite first moves from flirtatious to carnal, so often it begins with the intimate shave. Abigail does her work in a shared copper tub, and draws the control out intimate and with a sister's teeth around her fingers as a taste of her predilections.

Pleasure and pain tightly intermesh, in her mind, as do fantasy and reality. The world is a dark and compelling place, and she and her inamorata as pillars of light standing fast against despoil, from dark fantasies, from politics external, from their depravities with one another.

Abigail keeps in her chambers a device which belts round her clothed hips and serves for penetration, a thing confiscated from a raided brothel house intended to aid men without vigor to see their passions through. She does not use it unless asked and earned.

There is no quality more repulsive than a stagnant mind, a deficiency of imagination, a dullardly woman.

VonDoom

Two new characters to examine! This time I won't go chronologically, since the first one is easy:

Dhi, Abigail is a very interesting character and approved! Though, since the profile is somewhat ambiguous on that point,  I'd like to know how aware she is of what's going on in the convent and how deep it all goes. Is it still an ongoing mystery to her? That could be pretty interesting, I think, and might make for an intriguing social dynamic with Iseult.

Oh, one thing -- you mention God in there. For the purposes of this game, God is replaced by the concept of The Light.

That actually brings me right to Drake Valentine's Francis Mormon. First, welcome, and thank you for your application! (Also for reminding me that the writing sample is optional, which I'd actually forgotten after everyone else had included one and I had held up another application over it … yikes.) While your character is well crafted, there is a bit of a mismatch here. The Church of the Holy Light resembles the catholic church in a lot of ways, but there is an entirely different lore behind it -- I didn't put too much detail into it to allow flexibility and for players to add their own bits of interest, but your character relies very heavily on judeo-christian mythology that doesn't match up and the scale of his background is quite a bit greater than anything else seen in the game so far, with hundreds of thousands souls and millenia behind him. (Actually, point of curiosity, with the meat suits and crossroad's name -- is this a character revived from a Supernatural-based game?)

So from his background, if you can scale things down a bit and adjust for the setting, he should be a fine addition! I'd also like you to include what he does during the day (if anything) while everyone has to pretend to be proper Convent folks.

His abilities are fine, though the Crossroad's Demon needs some restrictions -- there is no metaphysical support system and the raw power for it must come from the wish granter. For example, a reasonable restriction would be that the wishes can only affect the person directly, so Zaesir could impart the bearing and appearance of a noble and even throw some wealth into the deal, but they wouldn't just become a recognized noble with all the legit holdings and a suitable reputation.

Demons that were always demons are also exceedingly rare in the setting and … well, we actually already have two of them approved, with Cryptic's Micaia and Biblio's Elias Grove. When you revise your character, I'd be very happy if you could address that and have him be a former mortal.

Everyone: OOC and character thread will be coming up shortly!

I can remove the mention entirely and leave the whisper a mystery, it's potentially more interesting that way.

Abigail knows that she lives alongside Darkness, and has almost certainly been privy to some wickedness, dark rituals, orgies, glimpses of monsters. I'd like the full extent of what goes on in the convent to be her mystery. Being a recent novice and illiterate keeps her from penetrating that mystery except through what she directly experiences. She is, of course, open to it, but I don't want to spoil her fun too soon.

VonDoom

Excellent, thank you. That should make for some great character moments!

While I'm at it and the OOC isn't open yet, does anyone have any wishes for NPCs they'd like to see included? If you can give me a brief description, I'll see what I can fit in! I might do adjustments or do some mix and matching, mind.

If possible, I'd like to have an NPC visit occasionally - a trusted minor relation of Iseult's intended husband whose purpose is to ostensibly remind her of the benefits of  agreeing to the match, but who can be used for more nefarious purposes and also a contact to the outside world.  Also -- I'm not certain what the historical convention was, but would it also be possible for Iseult to have a maid/companion?   I can write for them, but would also be happy for them to be written by others as useful.

Both are possible. That actually gives me an idea: I'll make a smaller NPC sheet for non-regular and more character-background specific NPCs that people can use to put forward NPCs like Iseult's minor relation. Those seem like NPCs best defined by the player whose character they are derived from.

A maid/companion would be fine, I think -- and could be used as a regular NPC to interact with Iseult and others, since she'll be actively serving her and attending meals and handling various tasks that give her a lot of potential for interaction. If another player expressed interest that would be great (it'd be best if we left her appearances minor until multiple characters open up after the introductory phase though, unless someone entirely new and without a main PC jumps in), though if you prefer to handle her as your own side character, that's fine too.

Alright, we're off to the first stage towards getting active! ... with an OOC thread and recruitment!

Character Thread - Please post your approved characters here! I'll follow up with the Minor NPC sheet I mentioned in the post above shortly. (Minor in this case meaning that they are mostly specific to the related character or are rare appearances rather than available for interaction like a regular character would be.)

OOC Thread - It's party time!

Applications remain open! We're still recruiting -- and we'll never stop! Neveeerrr!

(And please don't forget to add the new Orientation section to your sheets when you do.  ;D )

If one were to peruse his well-built form they’d discover their were several marks staining the muscles of his mid-section along with long, knife like, incisions across his back and shoulders.

Background Priest Godfrey was not only raised in the priesthood, being abandoned as a small babe a few months after his birth. Him, a blue-eyes babe with black raven locks, had spent the better part of his childhood and adult-hood as a priest. His convent, a protestant group based on the base of the mountains, had thrived for several decades. Godfrey was on the verge of entering the last stage of his priest-hood, committing to fully joining the order when an unimaginable disaster struck the convent. It occurred just shortly after his thirtieth birthday, when one of the fellow priests had been found half-dead just a couple off miles up the mountain dying of blood loss and slowly freezing to death. The priests who found him brought him back to the convent, putting him in the medical shelter and having the nuns tend to his wounds. At least, they had started tending to his wounds when they noticed the terrifying nature of the young priest’s wounds. Not only had the blood loss stopped, but his body seemed to rot away. Hours after they left him to get some rest they found the priest raving in bed, eyes pitched green and red. The raving only lasted an hour, before he went on a rampage and started massacring the priests who attended to him, including Godfrey.

At least the possessed priest had started going on a rampage, after killing about four or five of the convent, the possessed priest had descended on Godfrey clawing at him from above, but before the priest had a chance to land any fatal blows another priest had pierced the possessed man’s chest and killed him before he caused anymore harm. Both Godfrey and the other priest were unaware though, that the infected blood of the possessed priest had fallen into Godfrey’s open wounds. They buried the dead, said their prayers, and burned the bodies of the priests and the possessed priest. Then the priests and nuns went to bed, assuming that whatever trouble had come their way was finally at an end. None of them could have been aware that the man was possessed by a demon or known that his blood would carry the infection. During those wee hours of the night the possession took hold, only unlike the previous host his body was able to contain the demons will. By morning, Godfrey awoke to find his body coated in blood. Not only had he slaughtered the priests, and nun (ravishing them as well), but he found even his memories were changing.

With no other option and fearing reprieve should someone discover he was the only one alive, Godfrey burned the convent down. Leaving no body buried, or unturned, and no house standing. Once the dead was done Godfrey left, searching for a new place to stay. Unaware that each night his darker side would take hold. It was years alter when he would find the Convent of Saint Ziv. By this point his darker side no longer came out by night, but rather the holy priest and demon had melded. Their personalities, minds, and ideologies burned away into only a singular, deformed, being was left.

Personality Godfrey keeps to himself, and the other members of the conventt. It is only on rare occasion that he will meet with visitors, or when he takes a particular interest. His appetite, which has only grown more perverse as the demon’s desires sets into his mind, is usually sated with the occasional visitor. It’s rate for any visitor to really appeal to him, but he finds enjoyment in the corruption of those who used to be pure as his past-self. Since his personality has blended with the demon, rather than being consumed by it, it has left a few odd quirks. One prominent quirk of his personality being his utter despise for more practical priests and nuns, partially due to the demons influence, and partially because their pure nature reminds Godfrey of those he slaughtered when first possessed. It's also left his mind partially unstable, leaving him constantly drifting between a calm, reasonable state, and another state where he's quick to anger and lash out at the nearest source of his frustrations.

Abilities

Awakening Sin: One of the many ways that he takes advantage of the visitors is through this part of the demons abilities. It allows him to put pressure on someone’s hidden desires. This includes fantasies, or darker desires, that would only permeate someone’s waking thoughts.

Manipulating Desire: Once he awakens someone’s sins and desires, this ability allows him to twist their desires to become darker. If he were to use 'Awakening Sin' to release someones desire to be choked, he could then manipulate that desire to make them wish to be choked until literally breathless or unconscious. He cannot change their desire, simply change their level of interest in it.

Desires and Dislikes Godfrey’s only desire is to corrupt. Now that his demon and him are one and the same he no longer has to worry about the occasional bloodlust. Instead he’s learned that the best way to keep the demon tamed is to feed it with the corruption of those who are meant to be pure. His only real dislike is discovering that his pure-prey was unpure and therefore a waste of time. That’s not to say Godfrey doesn’t enjoy himself when it comes to taking advantage of certain corrupted nuns, but that only serves to sate his own twisted desires and does nothing to quell the needs of the demon.

Thank you for your character submission, Eikichi! Godfrey looks like a very interesting character.

Two things:
I'd like you to expand a bit on his personality -- what is he like, beyond his desire to corrupt others? What are the ideologies that he believes in, now that his old self has combined with the possessing entity?

For his 'Controlling Desire' ability, I'll need you to be a bit more specific -- 'full control over them' is very broad and if it is actually that, usually not very fun for the other party -- I assume the description afterwards is meant to explain more clearly what it does. If so, I'd like you to rephrase this a bit to make it more clear. Subduing parts of a target's personality and beliefs in favor of strengthening others could be very interesting! Of course, as with any such abilities, their use and the extent thereof will always need to be discussed with the partner.

Done on both ends, let me know if it still needs editing/fixing.

Great! His ability looks fine now, his personality could still use some more fleshing out, but I'm going to go ahead and give it the stamp of approval. Though, one more thing, but that's easy to fix when you transfer his sheet to the character thread -- it's a convent, not a covenant.  :-)

Hello,

I've also been on a long hiatus. Hope that's not a problem. The prompt sounded very interesting - here is a character idea I dawdled. Please let me know if there's room for one more and if this idea seems interesting. :)

Angelise

Concept: Devout laywoman (the spark of this character was the line about visitors "too pure" for the nighttime revels being locked in their quarters)
Titles: none
Gender: Female
Orientation: Bisexual
Age: 19
Eye color: Blue
Hair Color: Dirty blonde

Appearance:
A peasant's child, Angelise has the round, muscled shoulders and thighs of a laborer; her hands and feet are calloused; when she smiles, she puts a hand over her mouth to hide her crooked teeth. Poverty has stunted her growth; she stands barely over five feet, though she has her mother's wide hips and – now that she's eating better – full breasts.

Angelise speaks with a distinctly rural accent; her voice is a bright soprano.

Background:

Every village has its sinners, even Briar Glen, and first among them was Sely the whore. At times a barmaid, seamstress, or cook, in truth Sely's profession was always that of indulging the sins of visiting pilgrims. As careless as she was wanton, Sely had her first daughter, Angelise, at an early age, and then many other children.

Angelise had not a moment of idleness in her childhood – when she wasn't tending to her siblings while her mother was out, she was tending to others' children, or running messages, or sweeping the floors of public houses (sometimes the same pubs where her mother served clients), all for a bit of coin to keep her family afloat when Sely couldn't find a client or, more often, spent her coins on herself instead of her brood.

Now a grown woman, if barely so, Angelise has made up her mind to join the Convent of St. Ziv. All her life, as the villagers scorned her sinful mother and her bastardy, the nuns of St. Ziv have been a beacon to her – women of grace and virtue, of wisdom and kindness. What more could she aspire to be?

Abilities:
Washerwoman
Cook
Illiterate
Virgin

Desires and Dislikes:
Angelise craves the approval of others, especially her social superiors. She deeply desires a purpose in life, and sees one in service to the Church.

She hates being reminded of her sleazy heritage, and she fears being found ignorant or crude.

Ons/Offs
I would like Angelise's corruption to be her major character arc. Seduction, hypnosis, magic, drugs, blackmail – it's all good. Bondage, anal/oral, S&M – these are kinks she has yet to discover, alongside her bisexuality.

Offs – Scat, rimming, vomit, bestiality. For the moment I'd like to stay away from overt force and non-con (though dub-con is fine) – I'd like Angelise to be able to blame herself and her own weakness for her sexual missteps.

Writing Sample:

The Pilgrim's Rest buzzed with conversation and the clinking of plates and glasses. Out in the front room a porter did card tricks for a crowd of tipsy and enthusiastic pilgrims, but Angelise could not see them – her place was in the back, just outside the kitchen, with a pail of sudsy water and four cloth rags, scrubbing at steins and plates. Her fingers were pruned; she'd been at this for some time – since the sun began setting, actually. The noise inside rose a notch, and she heard a familiar drunken cackle. Her mother.

Angelise forced herself to focus on her work, humming one of the canticles loudly. Her gaze flicked up to the hill, toward the convent, the sun's last rays purpling its roof. Up there the nuns would be turning in for the night, saying their prayers. Perhaps they were singing the same canticle she was. She found the thought heartening. One day – to wear those holy clothes - no - that was too much to dream - to wash those holy clothes, or pick grapes, or sweep floors, in a house filled with Light and holiness - how beautiful that would be compared to this.

A thick hand brushed her arm and she started, a plate almost clattering from her hand. The reek of alcohol was in the air.
“Hiding, little one?”
“Emerick. I'm sorry – do you want something from the kitchen?”
The big man grinned beneath his white whiskers. “I could. Seems your mother's already found a man.”
Angelise stiffened. “She's got nothing to do with me. I don't-” she dodged his grasp.
“Come on now, sweet thing, a little time here with me and you'll earn a lot more than you do dishwashing.” He gave a short, mean chuckle. “Ask your mother, I've always paid her well. Heh – maybe I'm even your father, ever think of that?”
Angelise fled, his raucous laughter in her ears.

Sometime later she'd found herself on the Pilgrim's Road. The night was full and  dark now – the still sliver of the moon hung over the mountains. The road rose steeply ahead of her, rising toward the convent, exiting the village. The pilgrims would come here in the morning.

Angelise found a spot right against the gate, resting her head on her shawl. Come the morning she would go up with them. She wouldn't wait any longer. She wouldn't put up with men like Emerick any longer. She pressed her palms together and began to count off verses, hoping the Light would see fit to take her. Fifteen verses, that was a good number - she yawned - she could do one more - and another - and she drifted off to sleep, to wake on a morning that would change her life.

A book, a woman, and a flask of wine: /The three make heaven for me; it may be thine / Is some sour place of singing cold and bare — / But then, I never said thy heaven was mine.

Hello, welcome to this game -- and welcome back to the forums, while we're at it! Your absence is most assuredly not a problem, considering I was on a hiatus myself until recently.

Angelise is a very suitable character and hereby approved! We currently don't have another villager stemming from Briar Glen in the cast, but many of the visitors certainly passed through and there is a good amount of trade with the convent, so feel free to discuss any prior encounters if you like.

Please post her writeup in the character thread and join us in the OOC and IC threads from there.

Name: Sister Eliza
Type: Resident
Concept: Corrupted Nun
Titles: Head Librarian/Archivist
Gender: Female
Orientation: Lesbian
Age: 30
Eye Color: Dark Grey
Hair Color: Raven Black

Appearance
Sister Eliza looks young for her age. She has stopped aging or aging very slowly at least. She looks as if she is still in her early 20s. Under her habit, she has long raven black hair with dark grey eyes. She still walks with the grace of a noblewoman and has the presence about her. However, she seems always approachable and with a smile on her face.

Background
Elizabeth was born into the nobility of minor note. Her grandfather granted a small piece of land and noble status through service to the crown. The lands although small were profitable due to its agricultural strength. Elizabeth was the youngest of three siblings, the two older siblings being brothers. As dictated by tradition, she was earmarked to marry perhaps a rich merchant’s son or if the family was lucky, a nobleman of higher status. This was to be her lot in life. Literacy and learning was not really a requirement. But learning how to care for her future husband but how to run an estate was. Noblewomen had very little rights and considered chattel.

However, that did not stop young Elizabeth who absorbed the teachings of tutors of her brothers. She was after all deeply loved and indulged by her family. And she proved to be very intelligent. Soon she read every book in the family home and hungered for more. It was about this time that the family sent her to the nearest Convent as part of her training to be a noblewoman as her mother and grandmother did before her. That Convent was the Holy Convent of Saint Ziv. However, unbeknownst to them, things have changed.

During her days in the convent, she learned much, including religion, history, and herbalism. She was also drawn to the library. The nun in charge of the library would encourage her love of knowledge. She loved it there. Sometimes she thought that the books would whisper their contents to her. Giving her knowledge of their contents before she even read them. There were even books written in foreign languages and script. She would try to decipher the scripts, and it challenged her. She prayed that she could stay in the library forever. In fact, she even contemplated becoming a nun. The nun in charge a mentor. There was, however, a particular room in the library she did not like. It was darker than the rest of the library despite the light during the day. The atmosphere heavier and one would feel as if one was being watched. There was always a feeling of unease. It seems to call to her.

While she was away studying at the Convent, a delegation from the Church of Light entered her family grounds. They had recently returned from a faraway place, preaching and converting the indigenous population. Sickness had claimed a small number in the delegation, and they sought succor. Leaving a majority of the delegation as the rest reported to the Church, her family opened their doors to them. Elizabeth’s father penned a message to his Lord to inform him of the situation. By this time, the Lord was a descendant of the Lord that had originally granted the lands and title to Elizabeth's family. Unfortunately, in opening their doors to the delegation, they also opened their doors to an unknown sickness akin to the plague. One by one, many succumbed to the sickness as it spread throughout the household and surrounding area. First, it was most of the delegation left behind, then their carers, soon Elizabeth’s brothers and the hamlet.

News spread to Elizabeth at the convent. She raced home but was stopped by the Lord’s men, and she was brought forward to him and his advisor, who was one of the Arch-bishops of the Church of Light. The sickness has spread she was informed. And that many had died, including most of the delegation and their carers. Worse, her brothers had fallen ill with the same symptoms. The whole area is quarantined. She was told to pray for the best. And that she did, but the Light did not answer. Hoping for perhaps finding a cure in the library of the Holy Convent of Saint Ziv she rushed back to begin her search in the library by day and by night, praying in the Chapel by night. Her prayers were always greeted with silence. News of the death of her brothers reached her, and her own parents have succumbed to the sickness while caring for them. It was that night that she met a strange nun she has never met carrying a book. She placed the book on her lap and said, “The light will not answer your prayers, but this book will. A choice you will make this night. Make the right one.”

Curious, she opened the book and found writing she could not understand, pictures of horrible, indescribable things and complex geometrical drawings. But instead of closing it something in her wanted to know more and the book whispered to her. It whispered to her knowledge, knowledge to help her parents and how to save them and the rest of her people. The words were like a puzzle; she poured through it for days. It seems to make sense the more she tried to understand it. It was instructions, instructions to summon the darkness. She would lose part of herself, she knew. There was always a price, but she will pay for it. In secrecy, she spent the following day preparing for what she now knows is a summoning ritual. At the appointed time she began, and it appeared to her. It was dark, handsome, terrifying and defies all description. The price was her innocence. She did not remember much of what happened, but when she awoke inside the ritual circle, there was a vial beside her.

Rushing back to her ancestral home with the cure, she was once again stopped. She was not only refused entry but placed under arrest. She begged an audience with the Lord to inform him of a cure. However, she later learned that it was partly all a ploy, the Lord and the Archbishop both coveted the lands of her family, and they saw the plague was an opportunity. Two days later, her parents died. In fact, according to all known reports made by the Lord and the Archbishop was that everyone in the family died including Elizabeth. Elizabeth was a loose end, and there were plans that she be killed, but something influenced their decision, and Elizabeth was sent back to the Holy Convent of Saint Ziv by his soldiers. The Lord and immediate family died a week later in a freak food poisoning incident and the Archbishop two weeks later in an unknown wasting disease. The lands and property were donated to the Holy Convent of Saint Ziv.

Personality
Is she evil? No, at least she does not think that she is. The light had abandoned her in her hour of need. The Church of Light is corrupt. The men that followed it filled with greed and vices. There is no difference in the Light or Darkness, except that the darkness is there. There is always a price involved when you dabble in the darkness, but when is there not a price? At least you knew what it is and you will always have a choice. Does this make her evil?

It was a slow descend, but a descend nevertheless. Sister Eliza is confident in her abilities. Her knowledge of the books in the library, both the one in the Light and “the dark library” second to none. This makes her an important ally among the residents to have. She makes use of this strength as she consolidates a strong base beneath her. She is also intelligent enough not to require too high a price for her help. Through her rituals, she has stopped aging. Forever locked in the form of a 24-year-old. The form has served her well. Yes, there was a price to it. One that she happily paid. She is often seen as a helpful librarian, happy to help non-residents to find what they need in one of the best libraries in the land. At times she will even point them in the right direction for a price.

Many of the non-residents speak well of Sister Eliza. They have complimented her to the Mother Superior as helpful, knowledgable, caring and wise beyond her years. She seems to know the location of every book in the library. However, younger children do not seem to like her, especially babies and toddlers. They show fear and seems to sense the lost of her "innocence". To the other residents that know her for what and who she is, they treat her as an equal or an ally most of the time. She is in a sense neutral to their ambitions and schemes, as long as they pay the price.

Abilities
Arcane Languages – Sister Eliza is a rarity. She can not only speak the language of the time but can read and write it. She is also fluent in older and ancient variations of the language. She was also fluent in the language of the faraway lands of Araby and Cathay. Many books of darkness, when they were actually written down were written in these scripts.

Ritual Magic – Ghayat al-Hakim fi’l-sihr, Sefer Raziel Ha-Malakh, The Book of Honorius, these are just a few of the books Sister Eliza has intimate knowledge of. They were books on the Blessings of the Dark, Demon binding, summoning and minor control of these demons, and Dark Influence. Sister Eliza, with the gathering of the proper materials, can conduct these rituals and although not instant, a powerful source of magic. She also has a small number of ritual items on her body that serve as protection.

Limited Immortality - Sister Eliza has limited immortality, having been able to stop the ageing process and has limited regenerative abilities through her use of ritual magic and bargains.

Desires and Dislikes
She desires knowledge and does not care much about the source of said knowledge. She dislikes the Light, not what it ideally represents, but she sees it as uncaring and unloving, especially by the ones that know the "truth". All one needs to do is to look at its said followers and believers. They are sinners and violators all! They hide behind the ideal, their greed and ambitions taking the forefront instead of love and compassion. Yet they believe they are righteous and above all sin. They should at least admit to who they are and what they truly believe and turn to the dark. She will be able to save them then.

Ons and Offs
Behind the closed doors of the Convent, she prefers the touch of another female. Only another female could understand her and share her passion and dreams. Men seem to believe they are superior besides they all betray you in the end. It's not that she hates them. They are just not for her.

Sometimes it is good to trust in someone else that she loves, someone else to take control to make her submit. Force her to dance in their arms, the dance of little death.

Offs: The real extremes of Vore, Guro, Scat, vomit etc. Would appreciate discussions of anything else.

Thank you for your submission, Arcanist! Glad you made it!

Sister Eliza looks fine overall, though the writeup would benefit a lot from some proofreading. Also, if /when we define some neighbouring countries or past cultures, some alternatives to (or alternate names for) Arabic and Hebrew will likely pop up - though you are welcome to come up with your own, too!

Please also include the ons and offs that are particularly relevant to this character and the game, it's mostly meant for easier reference to see what you're looking to explore with your character. Reading people's o&o and respecting them is still very much required, if you were worried about that.

This sounds really interesting!

I have a couple of ideas for characters:

1. A young novitiate sent to the convent by her parents as tribute or payment for "services rendered". She arrives as a sweet, innocent and chaste young girl but soon becomes the perfect target for corruption.

2. You mentioned there are nearby countries modeled after Arabic culture. Perhaps one of the Sultan's daughters is traveling through the country and visits the convent? She may or may not be naïve or might have a hidden agenda.

Let me know your thoughts and I'll come up with the full character(s).

VonDoom

Welcome and thanks for your interest, o mighty fridge-dweller!

Both concepts sound perfectly viable, just depends on what you're interested in more - we can definitely use more 'guest' type characters and both should make for a very interesting experience. There isn't really much to comment on regarding the first idea at this stage, though regarding the second -- the daughter of a rich merchant from rather than an actual sultan may be more suitable, a princess would likely travel with an entire retinue of servants.

The second one could also be particularly interesting if you're up for fleshing out the culture along with your character application -- since the Church of the Light is dominant pretty much everywhere, how is this culture similar? Did it rise along with the church and develop differently due to the region, or was it converted some time ago? If so, do they have holdovers of their previous religions hidden away? And so on.
Now this is the Law of the Jungle-

Alright, let's see ... I'll give Sister Eliza the stamp of approval! Try and watch your use of tenses, you're still jumping into present at times, but everything is easy to understand, so I'm not going to be too much of a grammar nazi about it.  ;D

Cathay is a great choice and as an alternate historic name for China should serve well for occult writings in this world. I'm not sure how I feel about 'Araby', though -- I did some looking around for alternate names and terms -- how does 'Levant' strike you as an alternative? Levantine for the language, levant/levantine alternatively used as the adjective form?

If DrMcQuark goes ahead with his second idea and fleshes out this mirror of Arabic culture, his character will have a direct connection to that bit of world lore, so please be vague when referencing it for now.

The various threads are linked in the opening posts of the recruitment - feel free to post her in the character thread, say hello in the OOC and get in on that delicious breakfast action!  :-)

Name:  Cassandra Blackbrier
Type:  Traveling blind witch and rogue
Concept:  New Convert  (Nun)
Titles:  None, lowborn, blind, but far from helpless
Gender:  Female
Orientation:  Virgin  (Bisexual but with a preference for women.  Futas will be more than fine once she gets to that point.)
Age:  19
Eye Color:  Pale blue, dulled due to being born blind
Hair Color:  Strawberry red

Appearance
Cassandra is petite, short, at about 5 foot 3 inches, yet every inch of her is built for agile, deft movements and speed.  Deceptively dexterous, her fingers are quite skilled in the art of plucking the string of the hickory bow she received from her father as a going away present, but you'd never know it to look at her eyes, which, while blue, are dulled and gray due to having been born blind.  Her skin is kissed by the sun, perfectly smooth, her figure as slender as the rest of her, yet she is unmistakably female since her breasts, while on the smaller end, are still visible beneath her hardened leather armor.  She does her best to keep herself well groomed and taken care of, relying on her other senses for everyday tasks, her skill with a pair of daggers, the well loved if worn bow made of hickory on her back, and her magic to keep her safe.

Background
Cassandra was born to darkness, but it didn't hold any terror for her despite having also been born to a no name, lowborn family in the middle of a bustling seaside town and trading port named Rav'sest.  Her father was a roguish mercenary, her mother a humble but skilled witch who used her power to help visiting sailors and the like, curing them of scurvy and other illnesses often accrued from months at sea.  Life was fairly good, and Cassandra learned much during her childhood from both of her parents, as well as a number of close family friends and neighbors.  How to heal and destroy with magic and herb, how to wield a blade despite her affliction, and to be able to take care of herself since, despite living in a fairly safe and welcoming town, pirates and worse were still a threat, and her parents had warned her often that they might not be around to protect her one day.  Cassandra wasn't allowed to be weak as a result, not that she wanted to be, and so she took to her studies with blade and spell with a discipline and skill belying her youth.  Yet life was lonely for the young woman, and while she had friends, she had no one she'd felt any romantic inclinations towards, and while she numbered whores from a couple of nearby brothels as friends, she wasn't about to ask such a person for more than she could afford, which wasn't much in any event without resorting to thievery.  She could've, but she was too morally centered for such things.  That said, she was curious, and she wanted to 'see' the world, to experience what she could of it, so gathering what money she could from various odd jobs she performed, she saved enough for some new armor, a pair of fine daggers, while her father gave her his old if much loved bow with an enchanted quiver that would never run dry.  Her mother offered what minor protection charms she could piece together, and with many tearful goodbyes, Cassandra left her home of Rav'sest behind.  Three months traveling on foot and eventually horseback has seen her put her skills to use, with word of a rather famous Convent intriguing her enough to pay the isolated place a visit....

Cassandra is an eager and avid student for anything that catches her interest.  She yearns to 'see' the world, to experience as much of it as she can, but most importantly, she seeks someone to connect with on a far more intimate level.  Perhaps even find someone to marry one day, but for now, she's happy to remain a full time traveling rogue and part time witchy healer, as she likes to jokingly call herself.  Her mother was no master sorceress, but she taught Cass everything she could, the rest she learned through experimentation, trial and error, and while she surpassed her mother shortly before she left, it was with mixed feelings since she owed the woman quite a bit in showing her the way in the first place.  She's far from naive or innocent, having grown up just a short walk down the road from a pair of brothels, where she counts a few of the whores as friends, but she's trusting and open to those that are kind and don't look down upon her, either because of her affliction, or her lowborn status.  She is far from helpless, and while she is slow to anger, those that wake her inner lioness often end up finding out she is quite formidable indeed.  Due to her blindness, she has to touch someone's face to 'see' them, so she is rather intimate during second or third meetings for those that are accepting of this little quirk of hers.  She knows what she 'looks' like, but without help, makeup and the like is impossible for her to don, not that she had many opportunities to learn.

Abilities
Skilled Dual Wielder/Archer:  Her father was a skilled mercenary of the roguish variety, often employed by merchants who could afford a man of his reputation to protect their wares.  He taught her everything he could, which was quite a bit given his lifetime of such work.  Cassandra's blindness is not a weakness because of this, thanks to his harsh but loving guidance so that no one would ever take advantage of her once he and her mother were gone or she'd left.
Healer:  Herbal lore and remedies are second nature to Cassandra, thanks to her mother's teachings.  She can smell sickness in a person, thanks to her sharpened senses, and can often throw something together with the right ingredients and time to prepare.  ('Cough' Drugs! 'cough')
Sorceress:  While her mother was no master sorceress of any notable skill, Cassandra eventually surpassed her mother's level, although it was with mixed feelings.  Still, anything from a healing touch to electrical blasts, she can generate with a few practiced gestures and muttered incantations.

Desires and Dislikes
Acceptance is her first and foremost desire, and it leaves her vulnerable to manipulation by any who she thinks she can trust.  Her blindness, while she accepts it, is still a source of some discomfort, and while she doesn't mind questions about her life with it, having insults thrown at her is a quick way to get a dagger pointed at someone's throat.  That and she doesn't see what the big deal is in regards to what the heart desires.  Such restrictions on who someone should love confuses and angers her when pressed by 'religious types' who only 'see' the world in black and white.  Some of that is her friendship with some of the local whores she'd admit, but most of it was just her parents more or less saying the same thing, encouraging her to explore the world, which ended up with her wanting to leave home despite the dangers involved.  She loves music, stories, and while she has a good singing voice, she gets embarrassed if asked to sing or perform in front of an audience.

Ons and Offs
Ons:  Corruption!  I want it to be slow, seductive, with each new act plunging her deeper into depravity, although I DO want her to find a twisted form of love if at all possible.  Otherwise, I'm game for most things.  I'd also appreciate a chance for her to get a few piercings, maybe a tattoo if at all possible, something to 'mark' her as belonging to whoever ends up her lover, or rather her preferred lover since I'm open to the idea she gets involved with futa orgies and what have you.  ;D

Sensory play (ice/wax/etc), gentle first, rough later, passionate, BDSM, futanaris, exotic cocks tentacles, etc.  She's gonna be a virgin to start and probably pretty shy, but I DO want her to be a willing Switch, with leanings towards the Submissive side before this is over.  ;D >:)  Some light pain and blood/sadism/masochistic play is fine as well, although not until after she's started to fall fairly far.  Having said that, I do like the idea of my gal using her magic for sexual purposes, such as leaving a trail of gentle electrical tingles across someone's flesh as a quick example.  Receiving this kind of treatment is also more than fine!  Pleasure/sensory enhancing drugs and the like are also more than alright.

Offs:  No bodily waste/bathroom related shenanigans.  Extreme ageplay, incest, beasts, or outright rape.  For anything else, check my RP Preferences.

Cassandra was all smiles as she patted the roan mare on her flank, the beautiful horse offering a nicker as she tossed her head.  "Well you tell me how far this Convent is then, silly."  She chuckled, her dull, blind blue eyes having since fallen on the building in question she'd been steered towards.  Despite her affliction, she wasn't lost, but she had her parents back home to thank for that.  Between her father's sword lessons, and her mother's gift with magic, she could 'see' the world in a way few people ever could, although she truly was blind.  Even a bat could've seen better than her, but that didn't stop her from exploring the world.  Inhaling deeply of the flower strewn mountain path that led up to the fabled church, she was road weary and in need of a bath, and while a Convent wouldn't have been her first choice, she was curious to see what all the fuss was about since almost every town she visited this side of the country all said it was worth the visit.

The sound of a distant branch on her right being snapped underfoot had Cassandra's hands flying to the bow on her back.  When she heard the distinctive twang of an arrow being fired, she leaned in the saddle and felt it pass right past the back of her head.  With a roll of her eyes, the bandit gave a startled gasp, which made putting one of her own in his throat an all too easy affair as she twisted, pulled her father's hickory bow from her back, set an arrow to the string, and fired all in one, fluid, graceful movement.  Her horse gave a disgruntled neigh, having been largely annoyed by the interruption to their otherwise pleasant trek through the area, something Cassandra could agree with as she hopped down from the saddle.  "He didn't even try to talk, the oaf."  She sighed as her leather clad boot nudged the body once she'd found it on the side of the road.  Giving him a good kick for good measure, she knelt down, and with deft, efficient movements, found his coinpurse which became hers, and quickly helped herself to the bits of bacon she found in his pack, which she emptied of anything she could use.  "At least he had some things I can hopefully trade once we get to our next stop."  She mused idly as she walked back to her horse.  Putting her hand on the beautiful creature's flank, she quickly found the pommel, and with the same ease she'd gotten down, clambered back into her seat that had hardly began to cool.  With another gentle pat on her friend's side, the horse started forward once more without further complaint.

While her mood had soured somewhat with the needless death and violence, a little, very subdued, subconscious, and very dark part of her grew just a touch wetter at having so effortlessly put such a waste of human skin into an early grave.....

VonDoom

Hiya Virgil -- I believe I owe you an apology. I'm sorry that I didn't make my decision to end this game after huge player loss a little earlier, before you put in all the work to make a character for it. If the others proceed to play out their scenes and are happy for you to join them, you're more than welcome to.
Now this is the Law of the Jungle-
as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may  prosper,
but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

Well that stinks to hear but it's cool VonDoom.  It looked like a fun game too from what little I read, but if this is already gone, then what do ya do?  I actually have my own game I'm hoping to get more people for so it doesn't end up the same way, but good luck to ya moving forward VonDoom.  :D
