Please remember, at all times, that the main RP concerning Axiom is to remain PG-13 in content.  If you are an approved member, and wish to establish an adult-content side story-arc, you may PM me, ClockworkShadow, for my rules/guidelines concerning this.  Hard set rule:  automatons, in the true spirit of steampunk and clockwork punk, will not ever be capable of intimacy with a human... even with sentience taken into consideration.

Welcome to the Axiom -- .oO^Oo. -- {Final-Draft Profile Cache} thread!  This is where you post the proofed and spell-/grammar-checked profile(s) belonging to any Axiom character that you plan to make (and keep) active. If a character has been put into play, and, later, needs to be made inactive, then you should make a note herein.  If you have the ability to edit your posts, please utilize that to update your profile post, as needed.  Once I have approved of your proofed profile, I will copy it and "green light" it by adding it to this post, enclosed in spoiler tags.  When you see this, you may jump into the {IC Post thread} with that character!

Characters on Nu Logikus
Jules Morgenstern, Human
Name: Julianne 'Jules' Morgenstern

Type: Nu Logikir

Species: Human

Position: Formatir/Konvant Manipulators

Family: Konvant Morgenstern; 'noble'.

Gender: Female

Age: 25 orusum(years); 4 chyklosum(months)

Height: Slender -- 5 feet, nine inches; 175.26 centimeters.

Body: Lithe -- 140 pounds; 63.5 Kg.

Aesthetics:

Long hair in a soft brunette is styled in an elegant coiffure that enhances her classically lovely face.  A few stray tendrils curl over one of her sculpted cheekbones. Her green gaze holds a certain fire in the eyes belying a strange detachment to all - for a human.  Jules' attire is nearly the best quality available, tending to be earth tones, blacks, jewel tones. Soft hands appear neatly manicured for practical needs.

Her ears are pierced only with the smallest gems, and she wears matching the rings upon her hands.  They are often used to focus and channel her formatos.  A top hat usually rests on top of her head, with a delicately crafted monocle.  It is steam powered, originating from small glass phials of condensed liquid, and is one of many ever present gadgets.  She is fond of her dual steam revolvers, holding a Class B License to carry them.  A heavy cane-sword is often resting in her right hand.

The lady favours long frock coats with well pressed breeches or long pants with tall, neatly shined boots.  A cravat generally rests in tied in the most fashionable 'mathematical' style*.  At times, a book or two can be noted near, along with a half moon pair of reading spectacles enhanced with libir (life, chi) formatos.  In proper moments, she will attire herself in gowns.

History:

Jules' family are well-known for their grasp of libir (life, chi) formatos and metalir (metal) formatos.  Among the humans, the Morgensterns could be called upper 'gentry'.  Her father, Julius, is the present Magir, being the qua'an (4th) of that title.

Not all of the Morgenstern are able to manipulate Formatos; those that do not tend to go into trade; the rate of those born with at least one ability is approximately in the 75th percentile.  Jules is the tra'an (3rd) of her family history to have any true skill in working both libir and metalir at a near equal rate -- though the cost for such means that she often sleeps twice as long as any other manipulator, also requiring to exercise and consume more nutrients than most.  She has two younger brothers, one younger sister, and quite the range of cousins.

It is presumed that she will take her father's place as head of the family.

*The mathematical is a manner of knotting the cravat.

Proto Menamia, Automaton
Name: Proto Menamia
{proh ' toh   mehn ' ah ' mee ' ah}

Type: Nu Logikir

Species: Automaton

Position: presently, n/a; was created outside of the boundaries of Mena's Gasir

Associated Gender: Female

Age of Construct: 4 orusum

Associated Age of Sentience: young adult, between 20 and 30 orusum

Chyklos of Sentience: 9th; 3rd day

Height: 165 cm (about 5' 6")

Physical Description: Though somewhat-dulled and in disrepair, it would be obvious, to anyone, that Proto Menamia is the lovingly-kraphted mastir-piece of her creator.  Her body is made, entirely, of the finest, stain-proofed pherorganik; it must have taken most of her creator's lifetime to afford it.  Upon careful observation, one would notice that her "limbs" have been connected with ball joints, which should have, at one time, increased the smoothness of her range of motion; they desperately need to be oiled.

Upon further observation, one would find that her backplate has been installed with three steam-valves aligned along the slope of her "shoulders," and they curve, approximately parallel,  alongside her carefully-jointed spine.  Shaped to her exoskeletal shell, they connect to a miniature boiler located in the approximate region of a human's stomach.  Mould-cast, solid gears appear to have interacted in a precisely-timed fashion on either side of the underlying furnace, to operate a miniature bellows.  The air from the bellows would have pumped oxygen into the furnace, encouraging the flame therein to consume organik, and heat the boiler.  The boiler would, then, have generated the necessary pressure to operate her internal workings, as well as the gears that connected to - and seem to have worked - the bellows.  The steam therefrom would have, then, exited through the valves.

Truly, when she had been fully operative, she must have been a most magnificent sight to behold.

Character History: The elder, bent-backed human toiled and tinkered away; a tear slipped from his eye as some unknown, saddening thought occured to him.  After a moment, however, he grit his jaw, banished the terrible thought from his mind, and continued to focus on his skillful Shaping of her body.

He'd never known where he got the ability to mould metals like he did; no one else in the outlying village of Rephugim shared any talent of a similar nature.  His hands ran over each length of pherorganik, and it responded to his touch, much like wood to sandpaper; he reflected that he should have found a woman to settle with, if only to have passed his gift on to a child.  Yet one's Libir was full of regret, he also reflected; that was merely the way things were, and, in some ways, it was a twisted way of enriching one's mortal experiences.  It had not been his Fate to love any female, though; none, that is, except for her.

With the gentlest of touches, he ran his fingertips over her Shaped cheek-ridges.  She was almost ready.  Only one thing remained...

Slowly, he opened the gilt-edged, hand-carved box.  It was ancient, even older than the lady that had given it to him.  It's contents were, quite possibly, even older still.  As he parted the folds of the mysteriously soft cloth - and rubbed his fingertips over the trinket kept therein - his memory briefly caressed upon the recalled visage of the old Tradakir.

"You do not remember a time before Them, little one, but I do.  In some ways, Their coming has been for the better, but the time must come that the people Remember.  You... you will not see this time, but you will be a catalyst for its arrival.  When the time is right to use this..." She pressed the ornate box into his then-tiny hands before continuing, "you will know."

"Dominae Menamia..." he whispered, glancing down at the hemispherical device now resting in the palm of his hand, "You were the last of your kind.  May the future yet, someday, rebirth another in your image."  He lowered his head, eyes closed, as he paced his breathing against the pain that had increased over the years, and now wracked his physical form.  "I will Name her for you.  It is all that I can do; all that is left within me to give."

He grit his jaw as resolve for what he knew he must do took over.  For a final time, he glanced over the parchments of the Lore concerning the device, rolled them tight, and then stored them away in a carefully-hidden compartment along the inside of her "thigh."

Then he clasped the device into the place he had specially crafted for it, centered between the metal he'd shaped to represent collar bones, at the apex of her "sternum."  Once the transfer had taken place, it was written that the device would flare with an intense heat that would fuse it to her structure.  This way, it could never be removed.

For several moments, he sat there.  It was less that he was reluctant to take the final step; he just wished
that he could be there to guide and to guard her.  However, she would not be without this necessity... this sacrifice.  So - with a caress that trailed down from the lovingly-polished skull, down the side of her "face," to rest, momentarily, beneath the gently-moulded chin - he dropped his hand to depress the three sections of the device in the correct order.

A blinding, opaque, green glow flashed from the device, yet he stared intently; determined that she would be the last image imprinted upon his mind.

It only took a few seconds, and yet the lapse of time was the true essence of eternal, in his perception.  He felt his Libir being succored from his body, like a newborn lamb to its mother's milk.  In his last moment, he wondered if she would ever know.

"Menamia... I've come home..."

History
The Taesa rested there, resonating a curious, subtle vibration, and appearing as if it were moulded from the ground, itself.  Each Taesa was a mystery, with its origins remaining unknown regardless of how thoroughly one delved into Paramnarma historical records.  This was no exception, seeming as if it had been Shaped seamlessly from a reflective, pitch black stone.  Except for this Taesa, and a couple other Gaear Taesa like it, there were no other examples of this strange, unnamed material on Paramnar.  Now, the boy -  merely 9 taokuneii - stood there with his back to the primary Idaeo'suzei of the Monaznar; fists were clenched, and he was grimly stoic, and somber.

His parents had discussed the possibility of inducting him as an Idaeo'an, but they had procrastinated the actual deed because his Clan had a dwindling number of warriors to protect it.  This summer, however, the elder Idaeo'suzei had been sent - by the Taesa, itself - upon a pilgrimage to collect him.  His parents were distraught, but they knew better than to argue such a blatant play of destiny.  So they had packed the most basic necessities, and bid him farewell.

As he had glanced at his mother, who kept her soft, grey eyes averted, he knew that he would never see them again.

The imagery of his brief recollection shimmered, then distorted into nonexistence, as if it were a disturbed ripple in a pond.  Something demanded his fully-focused attention, and so he promptly snapped-to as a curious sentience began to massage his mind.

Of a sudden, a Voice that was both soft and thunderous consumed him; reverberated within the confines of his skull.  "Come."

He instantly, instinctively obeyed, striding forth in three paces to stand within touching-distance of the smooth, black Taesa.

"Kneel."

He dropped to both knees with a fluid, almost inhuman, and certainly possessed grace.

"Touch me."

Of a volition that was almost not his own, he placed both hands upon the unnaturally-smooth surface of the Taesa.  A choking sound would have been heard, from behind, if his perception were not so wholly engaged by the overwhelming connection.  If he had been aware, he might have realized that the elder Idaeo'suzei was witnessing something that had never before occured, in all of Paramnarma history, and was beside himself with shock.

Beneath his sensitive touch, the boy felt the stone begin to warm and vibrate, until it was thrumming so intensely that his vision had completely blurred.  Outside of his awareness, he began to glow with a blindingly brilliant, deep-gold luminescence.  This persisted for an entire hourglass' span of time.  Then, without any warning, the Taesa flared with a great, violent heat, and the flesh of his fingers and hands was seared to blisters.  The heat then invaded and coursed through his body, sending a debilitating, fiery pain to travel akin to every vein, nerve and capillary.  The agony was so intense that he could not move, or cry out.

Then, as suddenly as it had flared into existence, it was completely gone.  The boy's body was encompassed in debilitating shock.  After a brief moment, he collapsed, unconscious.

There he reverently knelt, by  the ancient Idaeo'suzei's deathbed, his fingers entwined with those of the old man's clammy, age-spotted hand.  The Omonai had long-since slipped beyond the margins of coherency, and was now wavering on the thinnest margins of bodily existence.  For those who had lived so long - fully 197 taokuneii - it was always the hardest to let go of their corporeal margins.  Certainly, it was not for lack of wanting; the spirit was simply too familiar with the body.

Maokeisu gently, soothingly manipulated the Idaeo'suzei's Ikaoi, impressing comfort and peace upon it as it slowed its meandering path amid the frail, deteriorating flesh, blood, and bone.  Under his breath, he hummed an old, nameless tune that he had been taught by his great-grandmother as a wee toddler.  His deep, bass voice was soft, yet it vibrated through his entire body and channeled through his intertwined grasp.

Another hourglass would pass, as he tirelessly soothed his ancient guide amid his inevitable passing.  Then, in half the span of an intaken breath, he felt the last ties sever and dissipate.  He bowed his head as he bid the Omonai farewell and blessings upon his next existence.  He unwove his fingers and placed a marbled agate carefully in the old man's palm.  Then he placed that hand, the right, upon the man's chest - with the stone cupped carefully betwixt - and he folded the left hand over it.

Next, he uncorked a flask of imbued danaoi and began to sprinkle the substance over the now-spiritless corpse.  Once the cleansing was complete, he summoned for the embalmers.  They would wrap the body in mao layers of treated, softened bamboo-cloth, then mao more layers of the finest silk.  His tightly-wrapped form would be further-treated with embalming herbs and oils.  Then, like his predecessors before him, the body would be arranged upon a strong, bamboo-pole litter, and transported to the sacred, underground crypt.  He would be lowered into a sarcophagus decorated with imageries of stories of his achievements and talents, bestowed with the few possessions he would have allowed himself to collect, and sealed away along with the ashes of those who - being most dear or invaluable to him - had passed on before him.

As one life ended, so another truly began.  The mantle was invisible, yet absolute.  He already knew that, unlike the Omonai, he would not wear it for the entirety of his existence.  However, for the duration of his responsibility, he would wear it proudly, and well.

The young man - of only 36 taokuneii - exited the deathroom, already feeling the Mark etching itself, permanently, into the flesh of his forehead.

.oO Special Enhancements/Abilities:

Oo. When, as a young boy, Maokeisu was Claimed by the Maomu Gaearma Taesa, it permanently enhanced his natural, Primary control of Saear.  If he focuses intently, he is able to heat the terra, even to the point of melting.  Smaller swatches of terra generate, on average, less-potent consequences.  Also, the distance of the affected terra to his own position affects the quality of the manipulation, as well as the consequences.

.0. Associated consequences typically involve: a headache that, very gradually, increases in intensity over the length of time that Maokeisu focuses upon this ability.  An extended duration also generates "glitches" in his brain, that range from slight, temporary impairment to persistent debilitations.  Thusfar, nothing has ever been permanent, though recovery has sometimes lasted several sukaoii.

History

It was a prosperous taokunei, and the old Param still wore the Living Ring of Ikaoi Taesa.  Little had been required of tithes, and the surplus had induced a curious, complacent lull in the otherwise-familiar, clan warfare.  Sensing foreboding in the unseen patterns, however, Idaeo'suzei Neisao Maokeisu - he, who, at only 37 taokuneii, was the soulbound guardian of the third shrine of the Terra - had left the sacred halls of his Monaznar to travel Paramnar for answers.  Unfortunately, with no clues to help him find what he sought, he wandered well into the season of Gaeamnar's slumber.

As the season of slumber gradually expended itself, and sought to establish Gaeamnar's rebirth, so he found himself in the Clan of D'aoima Teisei.  The feeling of foreboding had doggedly thickened during his travels - despite the balance of the seasons continuing, unhampered - to the point that he was physically affected, and now struggling to breathe properly.  Shortly after his arrival, he unceremoniously collapsed into unconsciousness.  Monaeram Teisei Saegao, fearing the worst, had their honored visitor brought to the home of their resident healer family: an Omonae, Teisei Ikaoima, his Beholden, Teisei Raemun, and their three children.

Teisei Ikaoima and Raemun plied their abilities upon the fallen Idaeo'suzei from the moment he was brought in, until the largest of the moons, Monaz, was at its peak.  During this entire time, their youngest child - a girl of the tender age of 3 taokuneii - would absolutely not leave the healing room, no matter how they (halfheartedly) threatened grave consequences.  The Idaeo'suzei was now breathing easier, though, and they were exhausted and physically shaking after such prolonged manipulation of the various energies that they'd needed to work with.  So the Omonae and his Beholden made the unorthodox decision to allow their seemingly-tireless, young daughter, the honor and responsibility to keep watch over the recovering Monaznar master.  As it was, however, she was already known to be a rather unusual, serious child, and she had already, undoubtedly displayed evidence of her parents' abilities.

Once her parents were confirmed to have turned-in, she had drug a stool over and used it to maneuver herself up, and onto Neisao Maokeisu's cot.  She sat, boldly and quite unceremoniously, inbetween his spaced-apart feet, with her legs folded and crossed over each other.  Having heard tales of monaznumos from her parents, and their acquaintances, she intertwined her fingers in her lap, closed her eyes, and began to pace her breathing.  The light of Monaz, as She descended across the sky, invaded through the open doorway and glass-less holes in the walls.  It rested, as a wreath of illumination, upon the small child, and a casual observer might have even claimed that she appeared to be channeling it.  Seitaoi Daomasu, however, was an Idaeo'suzeima mastery.  No child, let alone one from a simple Clan - whose Primary was the element of danaoi - should be able to sense something so advanced, and yet...

About an hourglass' turn into this child's vigilant guardianship, the Idaeo'suzei gently stirred, and then began to pull out of his recovering rest.  An incredibly-curious sensation was whispering over his skin with the most feather-light of caresses.  He blinked his eyes open, furrowing his brows as his sight adjusted to the intensity of Monaz' light.  His first thought was to question why was he so sensitive to it, of a sudden.  He vaguely remembered collapsing, and wondered if he had hit his head especially hard upon the ground.  Then, that curious sensation revisited him, and tingled its way over his arms and shoulders, then up to the crown of his scalp before dissipating.  He lips parted slightly, as he shivered in response, and he very slowly adjusted so that he could prop himself up and look around.  In the next moment, his eyes came to rest upon the tiny, vigilant figure, appearing as something incomparable, yet breathtaking, as she sat there in her wreath of moonlight.  Breathing shallowly through his mouth, he pushed himself into a sitting position and leant forward.  Then, after a few moments longer, he reached out and, so very tentatively, touched his fingertips to her cheek and jaw.

For an amateur practicing only upon what she had heard, indirectly, from her elders, she had managed to discipline herself into a rather deep trance.  So, when the fingertips of the Idaeo'suzei had touched her face, it was the first thing to break through to her awareness.  She felt Monaz' embrace gently fall away, as if a mantle sliding from one's shoulders, and she rose out of her monaznumos to open her eyes.  As soon as she did, and their eyes met, her little hands flew to her mouth, and she blinked a couple of times.  The master nodded, in recognition of something unheard, and yet absolute.  Very, very slowly, throwing away all the protocol that had been, so far, taught to her, she removed her hands from her mouth and extended them out to touch his cheeks and jaw.  In the next instant, something jolted through their bodies, and inextricably meshed their essences together.  Acknowledgement flashed between them, as they kept their eyes trained upon each other throughout this exchange and merging of natural, personal energies.  Then, moments later, she pushed herself forward to crawl closer, curling against the master's torso as he brought his arms around to embrace her protectively.  With this man, there was no protocol; he was her Idaeo'suzei, and she belonged to him.

One sukaoi later, the ancient Param - at 157 taokuneii - passed away and the Living Ring was placed upon the second finger of his eldest otaodar.  It would not be long before the reason for the Idaeo'suzei's sense of foreboding became evident.

Additional Notes:

Teisei Asaomun is able to sense and manipulate:

.oO Standard Manipulations:

Oo. Saear Daomasu - mid-range mastery; some training
Oo. D'aoi Daomasu - advanced mastery; clan element, extensive training
Oo. Gaear Daomasu - mid-range mastery; some training
Oo. Ramnaear Daomasu - mid-range mastery; some training

Oo. Meilaoi Daomasu - low-range mastery; novice training
Oo. Ikaoi Daomasu - mid-range mastery; some training
Oo. Keiar Daomasu - low-range mastery; novice training

.oO Special Enhancements/Abilities:

Oo. By incorporating Aenaoi Daomasu during deep sessions of monaznar, she can inspire Visions.  These Visions may be in the present or future, though she can never see further ahead than the approximate span of onu sukaoi.

.0. Associated consequences may include: an imperative need to replenish one's own ikaoi energy by the consumption nourishing food/drink (most common); a temporary drain upon one's physical constitution, followed by the aforementioned; an involuntary loss of consciousness, later followed by the aforementioned; a temporary "coma" that may persist for up to a fortnight, later followed by either (or both) of the first two consequences.

Oo. Her various manipulative abilities are amplified - and the associated consequences are lessened - when she is directly exposed to a natural Light source: specifically the sun or moon.  This is not Seitaoi Daomasu, but, instead, is a curious occurence based upon a natural (genetic?) sensitivity.

.0. As her abilities are enhanced by Light-exposure, so are her abilities reduced by the deprivation of a natural Light source.  Also, consequences for manipulations attempted during this circumstance are amplified, for the worse.

History

You're special.

That's what they always told him; he knew, now, that it was a lie, crafted to shape him into something he knew that he was not.  He still remembers the first time he heard that, though.  He was just five taokuneii old, and scared out of his wits; his otaomae had carried him, over the threshold, and into the stark refectory.  He had his head buried against his otaomae's bosom, sobbing softly because he knew what his parents were doing.  He didn't want to go; it wasn't fair!  Yet, he couldn't help peeking out at their surroundings.  To call the refectory spartan would be an understatement, for it was a perfect cube of smooth, mold-gray stone, lit only by ensconced candles.  The light cast from the flickering flames skittered over the walls surface.  The resident Idaeo'ani sat upon the floor with wooden bowls cupped in their hands; they slowly sipped on the nutritious but completely flavorless gruel contained therein.  The ascetic devouts of the  Onumu Saokeima Taesu considered eating a distraction and anything that heightened the experience was anathema to their beliefs.

His otaomae stroked his head gently, whispering in his ear as she tried, so hard, to sound reassuring.  "Oh, Reigumon, it will be for the better.  They'll give you a stronger, happier life here; so much more than we could ever give you."  At her words, he summoned enough courage to look over at his otaosan; that face, though... it was a mask of grim determination.  As far as his otaosan was concerned, Reigumon was already gone.

Before the three could intrude into the Monaznar refectory much further, however, a figure - clad in a shapeless, light-brown ikei asao - slowly stood after setting his bowl aside to finish later.  He approached the family, his features completely obscured by an oversized hood.  The idea of it struck a certain sense of terror into Reigumon's young heart.  Without a word, the elder Idaeo'an held out a pair of gnarled, age-spotted hands.

His otaomae hesitated, fighting the urge to turn and run; to not give up her precious otaodar at any cost.  A sort of panic flooded her brain, but kept her rooted where she stood.  A severe glance of disapproval from Reigumon's otaosan restored some of her senses, however; with shaking hands, she peeled her otaodar away from her bosom.  She whispered softly in his ear, "You're special, my darling.  They know it; someday... you'll understand."

Reigumon started to cry, deep sobs wracking his small frame as he felt those too-cold hands slide their bony digits around his midsection.  That's when he felt it for the first time; energy sliding out of his body, and into the hands of the Idaeo'an.  He valiantly tried to fight the creeping lethargy - for he was terrified of the thought of falling asleep in this alien place - but he had been too young, untrained, and uneducated to resist the simple process.

The Idaeo'an took the now-limp boy fully into his grasp, holding him not unlike a dirty towel.  Then he turned his back to the boy's parents, while speaking in a low, disembodied voice that was just for them.  It was a simple manipulation of vocal sound that stated, "Your donation has been accepted."

12 years; 12 grueling years, it had been.  It was his birthday, not that the ascetic Idaeo'an of Onumu Saokeima Taesu celebrated such things.  As one elder had once stated, "Why celebrate one point in time over another, if they all amount to the same thing?"  Today was different, though.  He awoke with an eerie sense prickling its way up and down his spine, and raised his eyes to find the eldest Idaeo'an, Daosun Reitao, staring down at him.  "We have need of you," was all that he said, in that carefully-practiced, deadened monotone of his.  Reigumon knew better than disobey; one of the few glimmers of creativity evinced by Daosun Reitao was when he devised punishments for the boy.  So, he pulled himself from his cot to follow the eldest Idaeo'an quietly, and as complacently as he had managed to train himself to be.  His eyes remained trained upon the floor, so as not to sully the walls with his yet-fledgling perceptions; they were headed to one of the sacred altar-rooms.  To the untrained eye - as if the possessing person would be allowed here - it was identical to any of the other rooms in the Monaznar, except for the small grey slab that hovered about 30 cm above the floor.  Pausing by the head of the altar-slab, Daosun Reitao gestured, and ordered, "kneel and lay your arm across the stone."

Reigumon quickly responded, despite his confusion; he'd always been told never to enter, and never to touch.  Yet, his instinctive desire to avoid Reitao's cruel punishment caused him to move quickly into position, and his pale arm stretched across the leechingly-cold stone.  He had a brief flashback of the Idaeo'an's hands when he had first arrived.  However, before he could fully relive the experience, Daosun Reitao pulled something strange out of his robe that caught his immediate attention.  It looked like a skinless hand, and appeared to have been carefully crafted from saokei, the only metal known to Paramnar.  Small motes of violet light played across the surface of this strange hand as the monk turned to the young boy.

In the breath of a moment, it felt as if his nervous system had exploded; Reigumon could no longer maintain more than a fleeting, scattered thought; all his neurons were firing at once.  Daosun Reitao indulged himself in a slight smirk as his manipulation paralyzed Reigumon.  Stretching out one of his hands, all the light in the room seemed to jump away from the walls to coalesce around the Idaeo'an's fingers.  He methodically plied the Seitaoi Daomasu, and moulded the light as one might craft clay into a suitable tool.  A tool was exactly what it turned out to be; Reigumon watched in horror as a ruby red beam of pure light was guided down.  His body was unable to react, and he could only watch, panicked and horrified, as it cut through his arm above the wrist.  What horrible experiment was this, and did the Idaeo'suzei have any idea of what was being performed by his eldest Oathbound!?

The fleeting thought was lost as a pain - like nothing he'd ever felt - flooded his brain.  He was barely conscious, held upright only by Reitao's previous manipulation, as the monk deftly caught the severed hand.  Moving quickly, he pressed the strange, saokeima hand to the cauterized stump of Reigumon's arm.  Then, white tendrils of raw life energy coursed from the severed hand to the metallic one, and completed the "circuit."  The new appendage had fused to him, and his original hand disintegrated, crumbling into a dust that Reitao allowed to sift to the floor.  Reigumon finally collapsed as the Idaeo'an released the first, and last, manipulation, and he lay there - clutching the saokeima hand to his chest - in shock.  Daosun Reitao sniffed derisively, then turned on his heel; he somberly exited the room to find someone, lower than himself, to clean up his mess.

Later on, back in his room, Reigumon tried to control his thoughts into a constructive pattern.  This is it, he told himself, this is my chance; they have finally gone too far.  There must be another Monaznar out there that does not treat their Oathbound like this.  Or maybe... maybe I should leave the path altogether....  His head snapped up; it occured to him that he had spent the better part of a year bending his will to a simple problem: how to avoid their notice.  He emptied his mind like they had taught him, only he pushed the concept much farther than they ever dared.  The years of pain had taught him to numb his soul in a fashion that no Oathbound at  Onumu Saokeima Taesu could match.  As he built his focus, and left the residual pain of his "operation" behind, he slowly faded from view.  This was not exactly Seitaoi Daomasu, but something deeper, more primal; in his mind he didn't even exist.  In his soul, he was nothing; in being nothing, he couldn't be observed.  That night, he departed from the cold, stark confines, and vowed to never return to it.

Daosun Reitao sensed the change in the atmosphere, as Reigumon Faded more than he ever had before.  He allowed himself a small chuckle of amusement and whispered, "I was right, and he has no idea.  Goodbye, Reigumon, and stay true to your path."  He grimaced as he felt his prodigy's essence fade and depart, and he flicked his hand to dissipate the image he had conjured to monitor the boy.  A moment passed, and a thought occured to him.  "It took him long enough." he said with a testy little smirk painted upon his mouth.  Then he sat as his spartan desk and took out an unmarked, leatherbound journal.  Turning it to a blank page, he began to scrawl a fresh new set of notes...

Haloriel's Character Concept For Axiom:

Character Appearance in 'Plainclothes':

Name: Julianne 'Jules' Morgenstern

Type: Nu Logikir

Species: Human

Position: Formatir/Konvant Manipulators

Family: Konvant Morgenstern; 'noble'.

Gender: Female

Age: 25 orusum(years); 4 chyklosum(months)

Height: Slender -- 5 feet, nine inches; 175.26 centimeters.

Body: Lithe -- 140 pounds; 63.5 Kg.

Character Appearance in 'Formalwear':
