OK, Birdy.  I may be able to get on tonight and do my post...will try.

Plan is to get us to the morning...I will use the info you supplied below in it as well.  By the way Bael, only sleeps for 2 hours...

This may be a shorter post then...just the night, then I will stop as they get up.  If I feel comfortable when I am done, then I will run with it...if not, then I will add more.

I will never overrun a post without talking to you first though.  If you ever want to write anything about Bael, just ask.  Your style is great, you have knowledge of him and I trust you.  If you need more details of his abilities or character, let me know and I will supply them...

If you ever want to know anything specific about Aurina or any of the NPCs, just let me know! :-) There are one or two things that I'd like to keep secret, but not much! ;)

Here's some trivia for you!: Aurina can't hold her alcohol at all. But since she has never actually drunk alcohol before, she doesn't know that just yet. ;)

I wouldn't want her to get drunk until she's fairly sure of her feelings for Bael. :-) That way she can babble on about loving him, while he might think it is just the booze talking. Just a juicy idea for later. ;)

Just to warn you, Aurina will get drunk at pretty much the first gulp, and she'll act pretty goofy and uninhibited while she is. She won't get violent, but her strength might make it difficult for Bael to rein her in. She might even try to pseudo-seduce him when they're getting ready for bed, only to fall asleep before anything can happen. I imagine her waking up the next day with an awful hangover and absolutely no memory of her drunkenness. Fun times. ;D

Oooo... I might cross each day off on the calendar as we get closer! :D I can barely wait! :-* ;)

I don't think we should have a definite minimum or maximum length for posts. I say post what feels right for what is happening. :-) I know I tend to be super-descriptive, so I sometimes have a hard time keeping things short and simple. I think shorter posts are good for dialogue and action/battle scenes, but sometimes longer posts are necessary for those things too. It depends on how much is happening, and how much the characters are feeling.

In other words, post whatever length you think necessary. I'll love it no matter how long or short. :-)

Bael has to see what combat abilities Aury has before taking her to the structure...in case of combat.  I figured she could handle the basic styles of combat, but wasn't sure how advanced she would be,especially knowing she is just practicing...so Bael will see if he can push her...a little... >:)

After this sparring, I feel they are ready to hit the structure and, if you wish, the assassin vine...

I hope you won't mind if Aurina gets a little rough as they practice. Not too much, and she'll do her best not to hurt him, but I think Bael has awakened her martial fire. ;D Pray he never feels her full fury. >:)

Yes, I'd like them to encounter the assassin vine sometime before they come to the structure. I'll take care of describing it's attack, and then Bael can save the day in true knightly fashion. :-)

Birdy, I was figuring he would push her until she can make contact on him somewhere...but he is experienced enough to defend himself in vital locations.

He has a silvery mithril chain shirt he wears, the link appearing as leaves.  He could don that prior to her getting too rough, if necessary.

After this I will push them to the clearing...arriving earlier than expected.  He will leave Aury to circle the clearing and confirm it is safe to enter.  Maybe put the vine in at that point?

I have to warn you, I may have taken more liberties with Bael than I should have. :-( I was almost afraid to post it because I was thought you might not like it. If there is anything you'd like me to change, please let me know. If I'm approved and get an edit button, I'll go back and change it. :-)

I was thinking that perhaps Bael could get in one last strike while feigning injury, proving that he truly is the combat master. ;)

Probably easier to have her do her vine adventure while Bael is circling the perimeter.  That way, you can have him arrive whenever you want him to.

Someone messaged me and asked if this thread should be moved to a OOC thread (Out Of Character) for our conversation.  They said, that way no one else will pop in and read all of our notes and such.  Just thought I would mention it to you.  If you move it, make sure I know where to find it.  ;D

I've never written for an assassin vine before, but I think I can do it justice. I'm already imagining scary background music playing when it attacks! >:)

Are OOC threads available to unapproved members? How do they work? ??? It would be a good solution so our readers wouldn't be forewarned of what lay ahead! :D
