"Greetings Runners, Johnson here. I have job for you, don't worry. It'll be easy."

Greetings all, DZK here and I was curious if anyone would wish to play a Shadowrun campaign I plan on hosting (if I can garner players). It'll start in UCAS Seattle. Standard creation system and points distributed.

For those without Fourth Edition, luckily there is a downloadable (small size) character sheet program with all the skills and such uploaded, even items and other things too!

As for timeline and such, I'll update the players and such.

For those who have no idea what Shadowrun is? It's the dark future of course! Where magic and technology colide. What would that be? Well, it's a world full of global spanning megacorporations, Elves, Dwarves, Orks, Trolls and countless other types of fantasy creatures turned modern.

Weild swords, cyber enhanced limbs and wrist blades or claws (if you'd like to imitate a certain character from X-Men), weild magic and kick lots of ass.

The sexual level presented in Shadowrun Fourth Edition is enough to be concidered Elliquiy worthy material. What does that mean? That means yes, you get to fuck AND kick ass, now that's a good thing, right? Look cool and get laid of course.

I'm willing to help intergrate new people to the series and transfer old players to the new Edition.

Now, a show of hands, who wants to play?

When you say standard points, that'd be 400, yes?  I've got the Fourth Edition book but haven't had occasion to play yet.

C'mon. You know the answer to this question. ;)

ZK

Yes, 400 point distribution. No restrictions, but I do want at least a suitable backstory for the Runner. The campaign will start out in Seatle UCAS. Right now, I'm currently creating NPCs (You know, the ones of significance).

The new system allows for such. :D

I would love to play... but now to the problem... I don't have any rules :(

Raises hand.

Kokoro needs a new home.  I wonder if magic still works vaugely the way it did in third edition?

Magic has similarities, but if I'm reading right, elemental manipulations aren't as broken any more.

Where do you download the character creation thingy?  I might try it if I don't have to pick up books.  I am rules lite these days.

There you go.

I suggest everyone downloading it anyway, I'll accept character sheets from this program.

It's in French and English. So don't anyone worry.

i'd be willing to sign up too, if there are any openings that need filling left.  Never played the game by the rules before but i'd like to try it.

Celestial Goblin

I'm with you folks. Stealth, sneakiness and some gun-fu will be my thing.

Mindhazingsquid

I'm having one small problem with the character creation tool.
It seems you have to buy magic and how much money do we get?
And why does the equipment thingy turn red after 16 items?

Well, okay a little more than 1 but still, quandries.

Money is based on Lifestyle you buy. As well you can buy "money" You're over-spending your Build Points.

For a new player, I'd suggest stick with a mundane person and get cyber/bio implants instead.

Since Magic is different then third edition.

I wouldn't worry about building the character yet anyway, I'm still making NPCs and setting up. But, toy around with it.

I did play this game a long time ago in the 2nd Edition. I would like to play if someone can help with a character. I want to play a WETWORK specialist that uses a Monofilament Whip like a master I was thinking a cowgirl looking goth sort with a monofilament whip that could swat the flies of a donkey or slice up an opponent. Elegant and classy!

Not sure about cybernetic enhancements but some subdural armor and tracking system gadgets might work.

A monofilament whip isn't so much elegant or classy as it is vicious and brutal.

Lilian

Yea. Besides, we'd j ust as likely to tie you up and let a few hobos take a ride on the cowgirl..  ;)

Creeper

My character, Jimmy Fingers, is almost complete! The good news is that he's totally awsome. The bad news is that he's an elf. They sort of cancel each other out, so he's just an average character.

Dont worry, Elves are nice and tight. I'm sure we'll find something.. ;)

ZK

And they tend to be nigh transparent. You can have a monofiliment whip equipped in a finger compartment. So, yeah, that's how small they are.
But as for Wetwork, that isn't something the Runners are going to get often. But someone with expertise in it would be good.

As for how the new dice system is, it'll be dangerous. One glitch can be annoying while a critical glitch can be deadly.

Well its classier than a gun or a knife! hee hee hee

I could see her taking Dance training maybe be a stripper, attractive and deadly.  ;D
