Wiki Blogs Dicebot
Hello dear readers,

Welcome to my blog, and thank you for reading. As the title states, this blog will be about my wish for a second child. About my journey to make this wish come true.

First of, I would like to tell you a little something about me. I am currently 29 years young, married to a wonderful man (who I met through here, great, right?), and mother of a wonderful 3 year old son. (Well, almost 3, but lets just say he's 3). I am so very grateful to have these two men in my life and I love them both to bits (even if they drive me nuts sometimes  ;D).

Our son is a true miracle, actually. Why? Well, because I have Turner's Syndrome and should be infertile. So the fact that he exists is truly a miracle.
What is Turner's Syndrome you're now probably wondering. Well, to explain things easy: it's a chromosomal defect. I have one chromosome less than normal people. Yes, the opposite of Down Syndrome. This defect causes my body to not produce enough...

Through Time & Space
- by Theta Sigma, June 20, 2017, 12:34:53 PM

Join me as I take on the insane project of liveblogging every currently released Doctor Who episode! This will also include the Big Finish expanded universe. I cannot liveblog a book, but I will be reviewing the Virgin New Adventures and Eighth Doctor Novels when I get to those.
Yes, I am insane.
Yes, I think it will be worth it.

Please note that there will be spoilers in this thread.

If I catch up, I will spoiler tag current release episodes for a week before removing the tags. Please do not shout at me. >_>

Comments are welcomed. :>

Quiet Moments
- by Athos, May 28, 2017, 09:47:10 PM
It’s the quiet moments that are truly dangerous.
When the white noise of life dies away,
That is when the doubts come calling.
Needling, nagging, burrowing.
They force themselves,
Ever deeper,
Into the places where I once found solace and peace.
A sudden gasp wakes me in the middle of the night,
Waking me from my sleep.
A vision of unimaginable loss,
The premonition of a nameless doom.
Even in the sweet moments,
The beautiful moments,
The doubts remain.
Always there.
Always needling,
Always nagging,
Always burrowing,
Ever deeper,
Into the places where I once found solace and peace,
A Love Letter to the Demon in my Head
- by Athos, May 28, 2017, 09:41:40 PM
I love the way you look at me.
Beautiful eyes,
Stripping my soul bare.
I hate the way you look at me,
Because I know that one day
You will no longer look at me.
On that day, I know, my soul will be torn to pieces.
It is inevitable,
And yet tomorrow when I see you,
I will strip another part of my soul away,
Just to get you to look at me.
It is inevitable,
I will do it so that in the years to come,
Long after you have gone from my life,
When all I can feel are broken pieces of soul,
I will remember the way you looked at me.
And I will smile.
The Rock
- by Athos, May 26, 2017, 09:54:51 PM
The rock never changes.
It remains, unmoving,
Entirely resolute in its existence.
On most days it stands in front of me.
Holding me back, keeping me
From all the good things.
But on some days,
I stand on top of it.
Those are the days when I can see everything.
Those are the days when everything changes.

Hello everyone! I'm not very good at introductions. Basically, I'm just here to share my recipes. I like doing a lot of crock pot and one pot dishes. Meal prep too. I don't have a lot of spare time, so meals that take a long time to cook don't work well for me. I realize that a lot of members of Elliquiy have that same issue. I thought it would be nice to share some of my recipes from time to time.

Anyway...just going to get on with it. Please feel free to comment!

Simple Roast with Cherry Tomatoes and Orange Oil

3-4 lbs roast (I use whatever my butcher recommends for that day)
1 pint cherry tomatoes
1/2 cup olive oil
2tbsp orange zest (or you can use orange olive oil if you have it)
1tbsp minced garlic
1tbsp fresh chopped parsley
salt and pepper to taste

Marinate roast in olive oil and orange zest for at least 4 hours and make sure roast is room temp before co...

Little Witch Academia

"So I'm thinking about giving anime a try," I hear someone say. "What should I start with?" Suddenly there's an explosion of recommendations spilling forth from the mouths of fans. Most of them are simply the most popular right now. Some of them are simply what the enthusiast fell in love with as a kid or teenager. None of them seem to take the tastes and preferences of the person asking into account. The majority of them are filled with tropes and traits that can seem strange at best and outright offensive at worst.

This blog's mission is to take a ste...

What I Am Thankful For Today
- by Beautiful Mystery, April 29, 2017, 12:22:06 AM

Hello, my name is Beautiful Mystery and I have first world problems.

Yeah, I bet you are thinking: "So? Who doesn't at some point?"

For me though, I generally let something like a first world problem ruin my morning/afternoon/evening when it is really not a big deal. Why? I am not sure. I guess I get so caught up in the now that I don't think about the rest of my day. It is one blip in 24 hours.

Back a few years ago, I got involved in a program at my college that taught students how to be a leader and developed their skills. We did self-reflection on ourselves in many ways. What we thought we did well. What we wanted to improve on. What we believed were our positive traits and traits we wished to change. I took more than a few minutes to think on what trait of myself I wanted to change. I thought about how I talk too much, how I can get rat...

'Commitment, Confidence and Male Struggles'

A quick disclaimer here... I am going to be talking about my past (and somewhat current) struggles experiences with relationships and dating. Keep in mind that this is from a perspective of one male. I am not speaking on behalf of all men, nor am I speaking for all women out there. I usually go up to bat for people that try to do right by others, even when relationships go south. There are good-hearted people and some are... well...

Honestly, I don't even think this is about "bad" people... just mostly making my own personal space to clear my head and decompress. Maybe even introspect a bit. Some frustration with myself, as well as with others that have rather conflicted expectations from me as a male. That sorta thing. An...

Hello, my name is Niferbelle and I’ve been a TV addict for *mumble* years. The most telling picture of my childhood is five year old me in a flannel nightgown sitting in front of the TV with a brown sugar cinnamon Pop-Tart in my hand. Clearly I started young. Even as an adult a sleep with the TV in which leads to some pretty interesting dreams. I will argue that TV is no longer the wasteland it used to be – given the original programming on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc., as well as network and cable programming there are always some amazing shows on whatever the time of the year. But we’re not going to talk about those. Oh no. We’re going to talk about the BAD.

Perhaps I am alone in this peculiarity, but every once in a while I find myself watching a show that I know to be bad. Ridiculous. Awful. Just -plain wrong. Not just any bad show however. Most bad shows I don’t watch because they’re, well, bad, but every now and then I will find a bad show that fascina...

Network Neutrality
- by Vekseid, April 13, 2017, 01:53:33 AM
On a tangential note, I wrote a post about the recent rollback of privacy protections by Congress, along with what it means, and some advice. Please direct discussion of such to that topic. Thank you. : )

Network Neutrality is likely going to be a major topic soon, and something you are likely to hear about from many parties. This is no longer a subject I can afford to ignore.

While I bring this up because of the situation in the United States, it is helpful to understand this principle no matter where you are, as this debate has been properly settled in only a few countries.

Net Neutrality is a concept that ensures:

As an Internet server operator, I pay the same amount to send you the same amount of data, no matter what ISP you use. I do not have to make thousands of individual deals with individual ISPs, just for you to reach my s...

Dear Diary: My Body Is Attacking Itself
- by Sofia Grace, April 10, 2017, 11:47:19 PM

I'm Irish and Italian.  Needless to say, I grew up tough.  With an Irish temper and an Italian mouth, there aren't many people who choose to get in your way.  That being said, I think it's important to note that any time I ever got detention for brawling as a teenager, it was typically due to an incident in which I was defending a friend.  I rarely found myself involved in conflict personally; I lacked the time or patience for it.  But when it came to my friends, they were my family and I would walk through fire for them.

I think I'll always be that way.  Maybe that's why I chose the career path that I did.  Social work is difficult.  If I had a quarter for every time someone told me that they couldn't do what I do, or that it takes a special kind of person to work in this field... maybe I'd pay off my student loans by the time I'm 99 instead of 100.  I've always been the defender of the weak and the voic...
