Special access means access to hidden forums and publishing features of Elliquiy. Not all privileged members are giving access - only those who have had a proven activity record and can and will keep up with obligations. No member with less than a hundred posts will be allowed special access. More is preferred, but we prefer quality over quantity.
A minimum level of activity is required to possess these access levels - nominally, they are based on days that posts are made on. We understand the need for the occasional hiatus, but if you can post on Elliquiy you can participate in things you agreed to do when you requested access.
The Secret Writer's Forum
The secret writing forum is a special forum for people who wish to share work that they intend to publish, or otherwise do not wish to make as 'public' as Elliquiy's gated community would normally require. It is not intended to be a lurker's forum - members who request access but do not post stories, critiques, or otherwise involve themselves in discussions will lose their access.
Members are expected to make at least one post per week of activity to the forum. A week of activity means seven days of posts. This, of course, is the bare minimum, and posts made must be substantive in order to count. This rule will go into effect May 1st, 2008.
Blogging and Gallery Posting Access
Anyone can read blogs and view image galleries posted to the front end of the site. In order to restrict access, members must request blogging and gallery posting access from me, Vekseid. As with the Secret Writer's Forum, a minimum level of activity is required of members with this level of access. We request that members average one post or gallery submission per week.
Members who request access will be given some instruction in how to make posts and such, preferably over an Instant Messenger or IRC. It's not difficult for anyone who knows how to post on the forums.
