Basic Rules

  1. Please report creepy or otherwise disturbing behavior to the staff. Included in this is any request for personal information whatsoever. Even if you trust them, we are particularly interested in rooting out people who do mass or serial requests.
  2. Just because we do not say something is forbidden, does not mean it is welcome here. You claim to be an adult, act like it.
  3. You agree that you are over 18. Nationality does not matter, US and state law covers distribution. If we find out that you are not 18, your access will be stripped.
  4. Obey the law. Do not advocate illegal behavior or post illegal material. Videos and photos of bestiality are therefore not permitted, nor is warez, sharing illegal pdfs, and so on. Threats will be dealt with accordingly.
  5. All sexual role playing must involve physically and mentally mature characters. They must be 16 or over, and/or the physical and mental equivalent. Banned topics include lolicon, shotacon, or any other form of sexualizing prepubescent minors. Photos, videos, and other evidence exploitation of minors will be reported to the authorities.
  6. Explicit content stays in the private forums and channels - for the forums, this means the right two columns of the site, and for the chat, it means outside of #Elliquiy. In general, keep the material on the public part of the site appropriate to a teenage audience. A slight exception is made for the various Wanted boards, but things should be talked about rather than explicitly described.
  7. You will not reveal identifiable details about another person on these boards without their express permission that an appropriate member of the staff has seen. We have not yet had a problem with this, and hope to keep it that way.
  8. Vekseid, the owner and administrator of this site, takes no responsibility for any posts not his own. By browsing this site you agree that the poster is the only person responsible for the content that they post, and to be responsible for your own posts and works. All postings and messages here are fully logged, with IP addresses, and you understand that authorities may be contacted if the situation warrants it.
  9. This is an English forum, and a literary one. Use full words when typing, do not type in "Internet Shorthand" - spell out 'you', 'are', 'too', 'be'. 'for', and so on. If you post something in a foreign language and someone asks you to translate, please do so.
  10. The ability to delete and edit posts is a privilege. Use it and your other privileges here responsibly.
  11. Some portions of the site have their own rules - particularly those GMs set for their games. Please respect them accordingly.
  12. Be civil, be polite, and be respectful. If you are constantly rude, inconsiderate, violate various debating rules, or otherwise act like a jerk, we will smack your privileges around until you get the hint and behave. If you can't behave, you will be directed to go elsewhere.

Guidelines - These are policies we would like you to follow.

  1. If you choose to participate in the Secret Writing Forum, please follow the guidelines. It is not a lurker's forum.
  2. Please keep your signature to 100 pixels tall or less. This is the equivalent of 6 lines of normal-sized (for the signature) text, including blank lines. Please remember that your avatar, signature, and custom texts are effectively public. Keep them borderline appropriate, thank you.
  3. Please keep your e-mail address current. Also, disposable e-mail accounts are banned - you can opt out of announcements in your profile.

Small Games Rules

  1. You may have a number of threads equal to twice the number of participants (players and gms).
  2. Use the same tag to start each thread title, for example [Home of the Horny Housemaids] for your game.
  3. If your game gets over a thousand posts, please contact a Goddess or me (Vekseid) so I can make a forum for you. Any Siren or Satyr can help you move your threads.
